The FBI wanted to shut down a Muslim charity that had been identiifed as a terrorist front group five years ago but was stopped by the Clinton administration.
In Dec. 2001 federal agents seized the assets of the Holy Land Foundation, which bills itself as the nation's largest Muslim charity, after announcing it had been caught funneling funds to the notorious Palestinaian terrorist group Hamas.
But, according to U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers":
"FBI veterans tell our David E. Kaplan that they were ready to move on the group back in 1997 but were stopped by top officials at Justice and the Clinton White House." "They didn't want to come off as Muslim bashers," a source close to the investigation told the magazine.
Unnoted by U.S. News, then-first lady Hillary Clinton also feted Muslim supporters of Hamas at the White House. Her Senate campaign repeatedly raised money from groups with ties to Mideast terrorists - sometimes in secret - and disguised one contribution from the American Muslim Council as a donation from "the American Museum Council" in a Federal Election Commission filing.
Thanks for the flag. I would like to review the information on the Travelers aid incident with McVeigh. Do you have a link?
Dang political rats come in all flavors and stripes, don't they? Common denominator is BLOOD MONEY, profits from others pain. Lies, coverups and swindles are 'business as usual" it seems.
I hope somewhere there is a group of fedcops who finally one day have enough, and spill the beans so loud, and name so many names, that this cabal that has usurped this country and seized the government in a stealth coup gets ripped asunder. I hope they name ALL of them, and walk out with the data to back up their claims. the only problem is, where do they go? They only have their "superiors" to go to.

Four witnesses reported seeing three men with McVeigh in OKC riding in McVeighs Mercury Marquis when they visited the witnesses office a block west of the Murrah Building at 2:30 pm on April 18, 1995 the day before the bombing. The names of two of these men with McVeigh are now known from a color photo and a sketch by FBI sketch artist Jeanne Boylan.
The witnesses were interviewed by five different FBI agents from April 24, 1995 until September 1995. Two of the witnesses were brow beaten and spoken to abusively by FBI agents who attempted to coerce the witnesses to change their stories. One of these witnesses was a black secretary and the other witness was Margie Law, the lady who saw McVeigh with the other three men.
The FBI agents took few notes, took no formal witness statements, did no photo lineups and had no sketches done by FBI sketch artists who were available at the time. The witnesses were never called in the McVeigh and Nichols trials or the Oklahoma County Grand Jury. It is believed that incomplete, false or no FBI interview reports (302s) were prepared by the FBI agents and not given to defense or prosecuting attorneys.
Another one of the four witnesses, Gloria Smith, gave an interview to KTOK radio news director Jerry Bohnen in OKC around June 4, 2001. In the interview, Smith described to Bohnen that she had written a letter to the Attorney General (AG) John Ashcroft informing him of the men with McVeigh and of FBI misconduct during the investigation. Smiths letter was hand delivered and explained in person to AG Ashcroft in Washington DC around June 4, 2001.
Smith sent a second letter to Ashcroft telling him about the identity of one of the three men with McVeigh shortly after sending her first letter. Both of Smiths letters were also sent to the Inspector General (IG) of DOJ, Glenn Fine, and to the General Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, Keith Ausbrook, who has Congressional oversight of the FBI. To date, none of these men have given Smith or her coworkers even the coutesy of responding to her letters.
The day the Bohnen interview was broadcast, VZ Lawton came to Smiths office and asked her for a copy of her first letter to Ashcroft under the condition that her letter would be put into Charles Keys bombing report. Lawton told me that there was time to put the letter in the report. Lawton is an official member of Keys bombing committee who helped produce the report.
However, golitely on FreeRepublic (FR) has told me she cannot locate any mention of Smith or find her letter anywhere in Keys bombing report. Key has told me in the past that he intended to leave some important materials out of his report to use in a book and a video he wants to produce. I do not know why Smiths story and letter was left out of Keys report, but it was not for lack of time or importance. Smith gave out her letter to Keys bombing committee member Lawton under the condition it would be put in Keys report.
Smith has told me that reporter JD Cash came to her office in August 1995 when she told him of the men with McVeigh and of the FBIs misconduct with the testimony of her and her coworkers. To this day, JD Cash has not written about the men at Smiths office with McVeigh and the FBI misconduct.
JD Cash threatened my life directly over my investigation of Gary Hunt in the Fall of 1995 and the FBI came to my house to threaten me and protect Cash and Gary Hunt in early 1996 after I had attempted to file charges against Cash. Jerry Bohnen is currently working very closely with JD Cash on the OKC bombing story. And they both have had close contact with agents of the FBI and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) concerning the case for at least six years.
BlueDogDemo posted on FR that a member of the OSBI had sat in on one or more of the FBI interviews with Smith and her coworker witnesses. BlueDog wrote that the OSBI agent was a man he knew and had worked with in the past. The OSBI really works for the Oklahoma executive branch, the Governor Frank Keating and the Ok Attorney General Drew Edmondson. The OSBI also has direct ties to the Director of Public Safety, former OKC FBI SAC Bob Ricks in charge at the time of WACO and the OKC bombing. The OSBI as well as the FBI did not do anything proper with Smiths information if in fact BlueDog is right about his OSBI friend sitting in on the interview(s).
Over three weeks ago, I received two death threats from the KTOK radio news director Jerry Bohnen. During the threats Bohnen told me I was not to talk or write about connections of the OSBI to the OKC bombing case or else I would be a dead man The threats from Bohnen were directed toward me personally, were hostile and unprovoked. I wrote about these threats on the FR. A fellow Freeper who knows me and Bohnen contacted Bohnen about my article and Bohnen admitted he had been harsh to me but would not say why or discuss in detail the actual threats.
So we have a situation where the two men who have threatened my life over my investigation of the OKC bombing case, Cash and Bohnen, are working closely together, have both had close contact with the FBI and OSBI and have interviewed but deliberately failed to adequately report the stories of Smith and her coworker witnesses placing Mcveigh and the three men in OKC near the Murrah building.
The threat from Bohnen came right after he learned that Smith had identified to me one of the men from a color photo whose name is known and who is a Federal informant in the case. And Bohnen threatened me over the OSBI involvement when he learned that the OSBI had sat in during the interviews of Smith and her coworkers.
The transcripts from the April 27, 1995 preliminary hearing in El Reno, OK show that FBI agent John Hersely gave sworn testimony that the FBI had three witnesses who placed McVeigh near the Murrah building on April 18, 1995, the day before the bombing and on the same day Smiths coworker Margie Law saw McVeigh with the other three men at Smiths office. Yet since that time the FBI and US Prosecutors and DOJ have repeatedly lied by claiming McVeigh was in Kansas building the bomb on April 18, 1995. McVeigh may have helped build a bomb in Kansas, but the FBIs own court testimony corroborates that Margie Law very likely saw McVeigh in OKC on April 18, 1995 near the Murrah Building.
I have told Janie Coverdale and Kathy Wilburn the Smith story and about the other men with McVeigh since they suffered loss in the bombing and deserved to know. Both of their grandchildren were killed in the day care center in the Murrah Building. They have legal standing and have been frequently interviewed on local and national news programs. But so far they have not called for action by authorities to do something about the men with McVeigh and the FBIs misconduct toward Smith and her coworkers in the case.
I went to WorldNet Daily and to the New American magazine with this story. I went to CBS national (New York and Dallas) and local news and to CBS 60 minutes with this story. I went to the producer and manager of the FOX local news affiliate KOKH25 in OKC with this story. I went to Gore Vidals investigator, author, and newspaper editor, Joel Dyer, with this story. I went to Mike McNulty, producer of the Waco documentaries with this story.
Key evidently left Smiths letter to Ashcroft out of his bomb report even though he contacted WorldNetDaily and convinced them not to run a story on Smith (after I had done a radio interview with them). WorldNet Daily later told me they wanted to delay writing an article until after Keys report came out with the Smith letter to give extra public impact to Keys report. World Net also later told me Key was demanding the name of the man Smith identified in a color photo and thought I should give it out for their use and for Keys use.
All of these people and organizations have not done a story on what I told and gave them. Most of them told me that reporting the story would not matter because the men with McVeigh would never be investigated or apprehended because of the liability to the FBI, DOJ and USG. They used that as an excuse to not do the story even when I told them the statute of limitations on murder never ends, that there is enough proof to get convictions against these men, and that the public and witnesses were at risk of being harmed by the men still at large who helped do the bombing.
They pretend they do not have the will to pursue these other men yet they love to do stories about 20 year old murder cases that are solved. It makes me wonder if some of them want to protect the FBI, the DOJ and the at large murderers more than they want to protect the public and witnesses.
Given the coercion and abusive actions by the FBI agents in their interviews and the inaction by Ashcroft, the DoJ IG and the House Judiciary, I now believe that Smith and her coworkers and I and the public are in even greater danger of retaliation by the FBI, the DOJ and the men who were with McVeigh at Smiths office on April 18, 1995.
My concerns are further heightened by the death threats I have received from Bohnen and Cash, two men who know Smith and her story and who also are close to OSBI and FBI agents whose interests are in keeping the story from ever being acted upon legally.
The FBI would deliberately allow participants in the OKC bombing still at large and known to the FBI to harm Smith, her coworkers and me and the public in order to protect the FBI from liability and from exposing their corrupt role in the OKC bombing investigation and failed sting operation. Without publicity of Smith and her coworkers story by the news media, by Keys bomb report (left out?) and by help from survivors of victims such as Coverdale and Wilburn, the risk of harm to me, the witnesses and to the public grows even greater with each passing day.
I am posting this as a written record for all Freepers so they can know this story should any harm come to me, the witnesses or to the public. We went to Congress, victim survivors, the news media and to the IG and AG of the DOJ to no avail. If anything bad happens to the witnesses, me, or the public over this, the blood will be on the hands not only of the men involved with McVeigh but especially on the hands of those who have the responsibility of enforcing the law and protecting the public but who have turned their back on us and have not done their jobs.
I ask all Freepers to help me protect Smith, her coworker witnesses, me and the public from any harm the USG or the men involved with McVeigh may attempt against us. The public needs and deserves to know this information so they can at least protect themselves. Smith, her coworker witnesses, and her documents need to be video and audio taped for dissemination around the country before harm comes to them or the public and before her offices are moved (soon to happen).
Also attorneys need to be brought in to file legal actions for these people to protect them and to get action against men involved with McVeigh. I am appealing to all Freepers to provide the means, advice, money, recording equipment, attorneys, etc., to do all the things I have just described that need to be done.

What top officials? Reno? Eric Holder? The veterans must know who. I wonder if they told the journalists.
