Things are tense right now but I'm sure that will pass in time.
Regards.
I thought in replies one was permitted to express their opinions within the rules (no profanity etc). I agree that articles should stick to facts not just opnions. But I posted a reply #16 with my opinion and it was not an article.
I might add that valid criticism of a President may be considered a personal attack by those in his own party, but he is a public figure and I did not use profanity and there is information to support my opinion. Plus much criticsm of Presidential and public figures is entitled to be considered just that, criticism and not personal attack, in a free Democracy with free speech.
Clinton and Bush have been actually been strongly criticised by others on this forum many times in the past and currently using much stronger language than my reply #16 without the criticism being deleted.
Free Republic isn't mine. If it were, I don't know how I would handle these issues. Since it's not, I'm free to take offense at the way it is being handled, and if I'm axed for saying so, so be it. I can't be forced to say that Islam is the religion of peace and love. I can't be forced to say the emperor has no clothes if he is, in fact, quite naked. All I can really do is keep on saying what I believe is right, without actually calling someone a name that falls under the heading of curseword. Even if, in fact, they are.
If the axe falls on my account one day, so be it. Better that than going out with another one of those unholy opus posts. But I will say, however, that if I must look the other way at government corruption, even if it is "our" party, if I am required to ignore evil where I see it, then maybe this isn't the right place for me anyway. If I'm banned, maybe God is just trying to tell me I spend too much time here.
So in the meantime, I think I will not be censored voluntarily. This is not a tea party, and in truth, I nevered cared for tea parties anyway. (Went to enough of those as an officer's wife for 23 years.) I'll take my chances, and hope that Truth and Honor trump political correctness.
So: There's something smelly going on in Washington DC, in the Oklahoma State Capital, and likely many other states around the country. People have been, and are, looking the other way with some terrorist groups, while prosecuting others. I think we have a right to know why. Our country is facing far more danger than anyone seems willing to admit. OKCSubmariner has some clues about it; see also anything posted by Uncle Bill, Wallaby and a host of other good researchers. Unfortunately, some researchers have already been banned, and there are a few among them whose voices I miss. Some have even had every article they ever posted wiped from the board.
