Bzzzt! Wrong answer. Edison pushed DC. George Westinghouse pushed AC, and won that standards battle for any number of good reasons. I think Tesla was an AC guy, too, but not sure.

"Are We Not Men? We are DEVO. D-E-V-O." Some of the best advertising geniuses to hit rock-n-roll.

Not to mention a great band. Saw them live once -- it was great. They didn't use any jumper cables that I saw, though.

People like the fried homeless wretch are products of the Democrats: they're always looking for a handout or a way to beat the system. They always want something for nothing?

This guy got his freebee all right and it cost him his life.

One less have not for me/us to share our wealth with.

Tesla was the one pushing DC. He lost that battle and the electric companies went with AC, which was pushed by Edison.

You've got that exactly backwards. Tesla and George Westinghouse were pushing AC. Edison was the proponent of DC.

The only time that Edison pushed AC was when the state of New York was looking at developing and using an electric chair. Edison didn't want any part of that one.

Yah, my fuzzy memory thinks that Tesla started out working for Westinghouse but later struck out on his own. Not sure.

I think Tesla started out working for Edison, then went to Westinghouse. Edison persisted in the idea of trying to run DC over long distances in spite of Tesla's objections.

Why would this guy try to siphon electricity from a untility pole to a generator? They are both sources of electricity. This guy is a real dope... was a real dope.

Tesla invented alternating current, and the entire generation and delivery system to go with it.

I heard about a city slicker on a dude ranch who pissed on a cattle fence. Ouch!

Anyone want to send Clinton to a dude ranch? Maybe the same results would slow down his sexual escapades.

Ok, you have it right. I did get it backward. I was thinking that Edison pushed AC because of his light bulb.

Anyway, correct answer is Here.
