1John, a faithful FReeper, died yesterday .....

FReeper milagro posted on America the Right Way.. today, that her husband, 1John, died yesterday of a massive heart attack.

John was a fine man, who loved the Lord, his wife, and his country.
He had served in the military, and has a son in the military now.

Please keep milagro & the family in prayer.

This is such a shock to her, and completely unexpected.

Please let her know you are praying for her.

She told me John would be honored knowing he was mentioned on the Forum......as they both love Free Republic.

Thanks, and God bless.

1 Corinthians 13 was the theme for the sermon at our wedding. It was the theme of our marriage (altho we did not exactly achieve perfection in all points!!)--but John always said you could take the word Love--and substitute Holy Spirit for it--and not change the meaning of those beautiful verses.

John was a Spirit filled man--and the sweetest, kindest and gentlest man I've ever known. I am missing him so awfully much--but all the wonderful posts on this thread have me given me great comfort. Thank you all so much--if I don't post a lot for a while please do not think it is because I am not "listening" to what you are saying--it's just a little hard to "talk" right now. So---God Bless you, everyone!

Stay busy; it helps. Lots of cynics here, starting with myself, but certain things make you pause; I'm deeply sorry for your loss, at least he had his turn in the ring.

To: Milagro I believe in life eternal and the hereafter. So John is not really gone. Where ever he is, it's a better place so pray for his guidance and comfort and you will receive it. God bless our military.

Oh, Milagro, I'm so sorry for your loss. 1John was a great FReeper -- truly one of the best. He was almost always insightful, witty, and/or entertaining.

Ususally, when it's posted that a FReeper has passed away, I feel bad and express my sympathies -- but since I ususally didn't know or interact with the FReeper too often, as a whole, it didn't affect me too much.

However, 1John was a great Freeper that helped us, along with many other things, keep the FReepathons going. He helped us -- or more correctly, we helped him -- keep the fundraiser moving. Additionally, he started his trademark "Freeper Fishing" -- where he'd buy Oregon Instant Lotto tickets, and scratch 'em off. That defintely helped with the effort.

I also encountered many, many more times on the rest of the forum. I always got a chuckle from his posts.

Anyway, sorry for the incoherent ramble. I pray that you be able to recover, and that 1John is on his way to his eternal reward.

Dear Milagro, Please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your wonderful husband, John. I always enjoyed his posts here on FR. May John go from glory to glory, may the angels sing him into paradise, and may he remember us here on earth, still fighting the good fight, which he has won at last.

Milagro, please accept my condolences, meager as they must be through this forum and not able to be given face to face. I always enjoyed your husband's posts and the spirit in which he wrote his comments; I know you must be feeling a terrible loss as the one you vowed to love till death parted you has gone on before you to the Savior's arms. I pray the Lord comforts and guides you and your son through this grieving process and that He helps you make the decisions that will be coming upon you.

Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

I am so very sorry to hear about 1John. We had such fun on fundraising threads with the fishing tickets. He was a very special person, but I know you knew that, milagro. That's why you married him!

May God give you comfort in this tragic time. You're in my prayers.

I buried my mother not too long ago so I have tasted the same free-fall of grief that you are dealing with now, I can only offer you my most heartfelt condolences and a fervent wish that you can find comfort in the fact that a great life is sometimes cut short!

As a FReeper he had the higher goal of making America a better place and for that effort he will be remembered fondly!!
