For 8 years, Sinkmaster spent his time assaulting women and covering crime. He had no time to defend the interests of this nation. We are paying for it.

I thought all those Moslem guys with videos found taping our nuclear power plants and water supplies were tourist? Isn't that what they told the local authorities before they let them go?

Everyone of these guys should be rounded up and questioned again, but I guess they have already left the country with their videos..

In yesterday's NY Post print edition's "Cindy Adams" column, she was talking about "Middle Eastern" men behaving suspiciously on the NYC "F" subway line.

Anybody remember the old movie "The Taking of Pelham 123", about a group hiijacking a subway train and holding everyone for ransom?

Does anybody have any idea where these plants are located. I'm about 5 miles from a plant in a very populated area.

I wonder - does anyone in the US believe it will be possible to hijack a commercial airliner again and do what was done last September 11th? Even if they had guns, IMHO they would have to kill all aboard before being able to take it over. This would take a lot of ammo and pose a danger of rapid decompression should missed shots penetrate the cabin exterior. I submit that US passengers would sacrifice their all to prevent a repeat of the attacks, knowing that they are going to perish regardless. The spirit that carried Americans through Ft Sumter, Antietam, the Alamo, Omaha Beach, Iwo Jima, the Ardennes Forest, Chosin Reservoir, the Ia Drang, Dak To, and Khe Sanh live on in all of us. No Muslim can take us.

The man disappeared before he could be questioned.

Just folded his arms and said, "Al-Shazaam!" and "disappeared in a puff of smoke, I guess. Somebody's head should roll for that one.

I am probably the only Freeper that hated the SOUA. Not for the content or the delivery but for the fact I lived in fear of an attack. I simply could not enjoy it thinking, the president, first lady, the vp, and congress were all in that one big room. I wish I had not read Clancy's book Debt of Honor.

PS I think I will hate the superbowl, and the olympics for the same reason.

Nuclear plants targeted ( Islamic terrorists are planning another spectacular attack in the US )

I'd love to know if that small private plane that went into the Pacific just off the coast
near the nuclear plant just north of San Diego (and not far from Camp Pendleton)
was actually a scouting mission.
As I recall the people aboard were a brother and sister of Middle Eastern origin...
IIRC one died as a result of the crash/ditching.
This happened sometime in November or December, I think.

On Sep, 11th when the jet went down in PA I looked for a "natural" target. While some "suggest" that the jet was "downed." I looked instead for a proximity target.

One of the contracts I formally worked on was with the NRC and that of course led me to look at nuclear facilities.

The proximity of the Beaver River power plants was alarming.

At that time there was literally mapquest maps pointing to it and terra server at MSFT had nice pics of some plants as well to.

Soooo.. somebody finally awoke to the possibility of this type of attack????

Naaaaaa... these scenarios were envisioned in many TSC reports, there are 24x7 groups that exercise war games at war colleges. Imagining that this is some new revelation or risk assesment is absurd. As absurd as having a cardboard door on a cockpit from the perspective of the Isreali airport secuirty folks.

Don't get me wrong these facilities need to be defended, but I'm essentially wary of the "mass movement" mentallity that the WhiteHouse is exhibiting with a "mix of Religion and Government" that the POTUS has pushed previously to 9-11.

Before I embark on the crusades, or mix religous fervor and fighting words, I'm reminded that the separation of Church and State are essential to our freedoms. There seems to be way to much emphasis on security at the costs of personal freedoms when the security issues themselves "were" and "are" a product of "neglect" and "apathy" of the very groups whom "always" had the responsibility of the safety of these assets.

The scariest part was that the Taliban rose to power under the guise of security, restoring religous piety, and an emphasis on a "mass movement" mentallity that precluded any democratic input.

While I fully acknowledge the "OBVIOUS" risk that stored materials of a nuclear reactor pose, the sudden revalation and sensationalization of this risk makes it apparent that the "asleep at the wheel crowd" found a microphone.
