Again, what you cite are examples of enjoying rights, not losing them. You got to protest. Gee, you didn't get your perfect spot (perhaps inside a government building, inside that cute girl's house, or in front of traffic on a road - gosh, could there be places where your right to protest fails to override the rights of others to enjoy their own lives by driving, walking, enjoying privacy, et al??).
It's also no trouble to get an automatic weapon. Pay your Class 3 tax and enjoy blowing lots of money on ammo. One of my employees came over here from India. He was THRILLED when he bought his first machine gun. "I love America!" he shouted to me. He can't own one of these weapons in India. The difference in freedom is amazing.
Perhaps you just haven't figured it out, but you haven't been denied any rights. That's why it is so difficult for you to come up with a SINGLE example of such.

Those "Day in the Life of President Bush" threads garner hundreds of fawning responses, while a thread on how our government is growing out of control will die after 10. Haven't looked at one of those threads lately but they used to be filled by only a few groupies each contributing several examples of what appeared to be nothing more than gratuitous celebrity worship.

I'm hoping we can do something about it. Am I wrong? For the sake of this Republic, we had better come up with an alternative. The speed which we are moving to pure socialism is gaining. I voted for W, that was called Hope. It's wearing real thin these day's. Blackbird.

Apparently in your world, that means that not one part of government was downsized. OK, so in your world, besides a tax cut and your lack of economics understanding, and in an attempt to match your arrogance, what gubmint agency has been downsized? In the leftist tone, how did W "Pay" for his tax cuts? It's all rhetoric from you. Where did you get your talking points? Blackbird.

Ok, so the defeatist would say, it could be worse, and you would be right. Does this mean everything is AOK? Hardly. The following is only a suggestion, you should consider changing your screen name to Texasforafewmoremonths, because if things continue as promised with our southern border, your beloved state will be no more. Get in before the rush. Blackbird.

I have become concerned about the extreme minority position the malcontents occupy here and wondered if it might be better for you at this place. Spend some time in reality Ben. Criticism isn't bashing, don't like it, perhaps you would be more at home there. They don't allow debate either. They don't live in reality either. You'll fit right in. What about the FR mission statement don't you understand? Blackbird.
To: Southack
Yes, I would. . . . . .
I followed a lot of the dialog stemming from your post there. Excellent comments and defense of it. I could learn a lot from you I think. Thanks.

Good comments, but.....
GWB has done pretty much what he told us he would during the campaign so it should come as no surprise. He was a "compassionate" conservative, he was going to spend a zillion more dollars on education, etc...
I had hoped that, if elected, he would appoint an AG who might pursue justice in the matter of the criminal corruption of the Clinton gang. I had no realistic expection that the Clintons themselves would come to justice, but hoped that some of the others might. Burton had even said prior to the election that if there were a Republican AG, he might make referrals from his committee for consideration for prosecution.
Well, you know what has happened.....not only do Bush/Ashcroft disband the campaign finance task force, but they even refuse to release information as to how decisions were made under Reno not to proceed. Corruption at the highest level of our government is ignored, covered over, just movin' on.
This is the real sad part, at least for me.

If you do not want to support Bush, who are you going to support?Good question, Jim. I guess the answer is someone who believes in justice. See my #393.
Regards.

Great post. In the view of many on this forum, you can't be a *real* conservative unless you're a Republican, although, you do see many complaints about RINOS. Well, GWB sure looks like a RINO to me.
To: bayourod
You haven't got a clue. Let me guess, you are 19 years old, right? Uh, no. I didn't log on to FR when I was 15.
As a matter of fact, I was fighting a war about 11 years ago while you were probably sitting at home making silly assumtions while having zero facts.
But thanks for asking.

Good morning AAA, how do you feel about being snookered by the AP as described to you in reply #221.
That's of course if you were actually "snookered" and not deliberately misleading.
