It's all about creating a generation of people who know nothing of the constitution, the freedoms it protects and the people who put it in place. Once these ignorant masses are created, the socialists will dismantle our constitution without so much as a "peep" from the "people". This has been going on for decades. It just seems more commonplace now because the extremely ignorant vastly outnumber those of us who know better. This has emboldened the architects of America's destruction to speed-up the pace. Anyone pointing this out is labelled as a "right wing radical" by the socialists.

I would like to know more about the post above that mentions a law passed by congress that allows these corrupt politicians to omit the section of the constitution that allows for the legislation they are pushing. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Go to Congressman Ron Paul's web site THE LIBERTY COMMITTEE because he at one time was sponsoring a bill that would require all legislation to meet a Constitutional muster before being introduced. I will try to find it for you.

You guys might disagree with my opinion on this. If you do, I can handle it. LOL

My daughter was instructed in Social Studies class recently to write in persuasive essay, addressing Rick Perry, asking him to sign a law that would force parents to sign a piece of paper "promising" never to "booooooooo" at a school game. If the parent "boooooed", the child would not be permitted to play and a few other things. (I might be leaving some details out).

She had to give her opinion of either being for this or against it. I asked her how she felt and she said she was for it. I said, "WHAT???????? You will NOT be for it." I gave her a good long lecture about freedom of speech and how we have the freedom to voice our displeasure and act like an idiot. Of course violence or assault is not right, and I don't condone booooing. In fact I don't approve at all. I think it's uncivilized and rude. However, we should not get in trouble with the police if we boo (unless we are throwing beer bottles). I know I’m suppose to let my children do their own homework and have their own opinions, but I was quite surprised she didn’t understand freedom of speech better, and it was a great “lecturing” opportunity. LOL

Anyway, she wrote an excellent paper and was the ONLY child to be against this idea. I was very proud of her for taking a stand. I explained to her that if they make booing illegal, what's next? What I felt sad about was no one else thought or realized it was "unconstitutional". (To me it was).

Whether my example is constitutional or not, is not really my point. I was agreeing with several of you, who assert our children are not being taught the PROUD basics of our government. My plan and hope is that I can take their eduction into my own hands.

(PS: Brownie, my kids attend a wonderful, country public school. I’m friend’s with every teacher and they are Christians. We won’t have that next year, and my children will NOT attend public school. My husband just doesn’t know it yet).
