What were they thinking? Those opening strains are wonderful, haunting; how could they skip it? Imagine if the Star Wars sound track had left off the opening fanfare! Good grief.

Thank you for reminding me - I am now listening to the sound of Hobbit-fluty-music as I sit at my own laptop, using a finally repaired internet connection. Now, to download a new desktop theme....

My CD has that opening. Then goes right into "Concerning Hobbits."
