...the surest way to bust this economy is to increase the role and the size of the federal government...

Pretty sad, really. We said bush would take a different road so as not to upset or wake the sheeple and still take us to the same spot gore would have. Only, I thought it would be much much slower ride.

I was wrong.

Bush on Kennedy: 'I actually like the fellow' ... "He is a fabulous United States senator," the president said.

-----------------------

I like George Bush. He has turned out to be every bit the brainless superficial nincompoop I said he would be two years ago. In so doing, he has made me look like a genius. --which I am.

Every spending bill for God-knows-how-many years has been "the largest spending bill ever".

And signing the pork-barrel farm bill and the outrageous Education Dept. bill, for starters.

Please. Bush is merely a stop-gap measure so conservatives can regroup and fight for real long-term change.

He will visit a John Deere plant in Moline, Ill., a farm seed mill in Aurora, Mo., and the port of New Orleans to talk up his latest proposals for free trade as a way to create jobs in order to strengthen the market.

----------------------

That bit of mindless chatterboxing ought to lose a few million votes. Unless we can keep one hell of a war going to maintain unconditional jingoistic patriotic fervor, Hillary will be in in 2004.

With the amount of technology we are exporting, the investment in foreign countries, the loss of jobs. the country should be a basket case depression.

Like father, like son.

I'm making a personal social fashion statement.

When anyone tells me Teddy Kennedy is an outstanding United States Senator I label them for what they are. An idiot.

And the President of the United States should lable him an idiot, opening himself to sniping from the press.

One thing the American people these days don't like are partisan hacks. Ted Kennedy is going to show his true self and attack Bush with a speech that there should be tax hikes. Ted Kennedy is playing into Bush's trap.

Since when do you speak for the American people Mr. Attempt At Self Fulfilling Prophecy? The Clintons are unocontested. Teddy Kennedy is an outstanding likable senator. Is Bush a partisan hack working for the Democrats?

Just looking at your strategy and it didn't work. Newt Gingrich did what you wanted and was lambasted by the press and the people.

I think Bush is follwing the Reagan model. You never saw Reagan say bad words about Tip O'Neill. I would rather have Bush following Reagan's lead rather than Gingrich's.

This is an idiotic post! Someone please sight one example of a war that the United States fought without running a deficit!! Someone name me one defense contractor that works for free!!! If you want to blame someone, then blame the man who is responsible for wasting our nation's supply of cruise missles bombing empty tents- William Jefferson Clinton. He is the reason that we have to spend money to re-equip, and re-supply the Military.

As for the expanded entitlement programs the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed- remember!?! The U.S. economy took a BIG hit!!! This is an exception to the rule!!! We are at war, and we have a set of circumstances that require immediate action, if our nation is to recover quickly. I swear I think some of you are down with the TALIBAN!!! This post belongs on the Democratic Underground site!!!
