This is an idiotic post! Someone please sight one example of a war that the United States fought without running a deficit!! Someone name me one defense contractor that works for free!!! If you want to blame someone, then blame the man who is responsible for wasting our nation's supply of cruise missles bombing empty tents- William Jefferson Clinton. He is the reason that we have to spend money to re-equip, and re-supply the Military.

As for the expanded entitlement programs the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed- remember!?! The U.S. economy took a BIG hit!!! This is an exception to the rule!!! We are at war, and we have a set of circumstances that require immediate action, if our nation is to recover quickly. I swear I think some of you are down with the TALIBAN!!! Increasing spending across the board is quite another.

The gop controlled house, where all spending begins, is setting new records for pork, and has been since before the last election.
