[history]
In case anybody missed it, there's a full-scale, no-holds-barred air war going on right now. A massive one. Daisy-cutters, 2,000-pound bunker-busters -- you name it. Bombs are dropping faster than you can blink. Squadrons of B-52s -- AKA 'big ugly fat fellows' -- are prowling the heavens, pounding enemy positions, unleashing their fiery wrath, carpet bombing around-the-clock....the works.

Is that just your thread?!?!
I thought I was reading a really kick butt article from some conservative journal. Great POST!!!
I agree with you one hundred percent. Personally I think that just like Daschel's attack on the tax cut this too will blow up in their faces. It is abundantly clear that it is just democrats playing politics. As you say there really is "nothing to see here." Finally, the democratcs will find themselves in a corner where if they try and paint the brush too strong with theyour dirty by association inuendos that paint is going to start splaettering all over themselves...afterall it turns out that Clinton got almost as much money from Enron as Bush did...but in Clintons case it looks like he actually DID do favors for it.

The Attorney General recusing himself? What?! This is earthshaking! Explosive! How scandalous! Why the AG recusing himself to avoid tainting the probe should be seen as "scandalous"? I have even heard it implied that the AG's recusing himself is proof that there is serious wrongdoing connected with the GOP.

I concur!

Any proof of administration wrongdoing? No, not the vaguest hint, not the slightest intimation of official wrongdoing nor impropriety -- and even the media jackals know it. The media is probably seeking to use these baseless acqusations to undermine Bush's upcoming state of the union.

Ever see that fast draw guy? The one they used to put on TV with a stopwatch next to him and he'd draw his sex-shooter with lightning speed and hit a can?
Imagine the fast draw guy is George W. Bush and the can is the bogus media generated "Enron scandal".
If the Dems. and their media lap dogs keep insisting on a "Enron gun fight" at high-noon with George W. Bush they may regret it.

We have been getting ready to go for short or long time cruising. That way, this could be my one and only reply to the Enron situation. It is all a clinton scheme to frame Bush and win Congressional and Senatorial majority.
The stock market by itself is a fraud. When crooks like clintonites start operating a fraud, problems like Enron will be popping out all over.
Enron is a typical case of pump and dump. It goes like this: Government employee or employeess responsible for operating 401Ks or federal government money can make any stock raise to any level by just simply buying it. Their buddies will take care of the so-called positive and good news flow. When the Bush Administration, which is obviously not corrupt, refused to do the pump and dump scheme, the stock market tanked.
Yes, proof that President Bush is a decent and honest guy is in Enron. Believe me, if his Administration was as corrupt as clinton's they could make Enron rise up to 100 dollars a share, without slight difficulty. When you control a five billion dollar mutual fund or employee pension fund with four billion dollars, manipulating stocks becomes an everyday job. You have the demand, and you know how much supply is out there.
The old Wall Street used to be aout supply and demand. The clinton Wall Street is all about manipulation. The funny thing is the market tends to eat its own. Only the people who believe invest in it, and they are the only ones who will be losing their money. That way, no one ever will feel sorry for them.
Farewell for a while.
Sincerely,
Tasha

Nicely done, JH2. The RATS just don't know how to handle someone who is being honest. They don't know what it is like to be around decent people who won't accept criminality.

Thanks, my friend.
The RATS just don't know how to handle someone who is being honest. They don't know what it is like to be around decent people who won't accept criminality.
That's it in a nutshell, Doug. You hit the nail on the head.
To: JohnHuang2
I agree 100%. However, if the GOP ever needed James Carville types, the time is right now.
The RATS are definitely overreaching and overextending themselves in order to "prove" some impropriety. And nothing will come of it as far as wrongdoing on the Bush Administration's part.
But we need to go on the serious offensive here while not revealing our true position. To wit, the investigation must focus on Enron's dealings with the prior administration. The Clinton adminstration definitely did do Enron favors.
Then watch the RATS scurry like the rabies infested rodents that they are.

The media is perpetrating one of the greatest frauds ever: To wit, the fabrication of a pseudo-political "scandal" -- out of whole cloth.Quite true JH2.
This morning, I had the opportunity to catch a bit of CNN. What I witnessed was rank political partisanship and liberal media bias that was truely astounding and at the same time quite revealing. Here we had four CNN scum-sucking snakes, each one attempting to connect a set of non-existent political dots, to wild eyed claims, indicating a far-fetched possiblity, of nefarious involvement by Bush administration officials in the Enron debacle. They attempted to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Of course, they failed. Bill Scheinder, Kelly Wallace, John Karl and the other players at CNN, had better come up with more then specious speculations. There's no evidence and there's no proof of wrong doing by the Bush administartion in the Enron collapse. At no time, did Bush and company give preferential treatment to Enron executives. Quite the opposite is true.
However, having said that, if any government official is found to be involved in any wrong doing connected to the Enron collapse, they should feel the full weight of the law coming down around them. I believe many Enron executives will be found quilty of wrong doing and will be fined and sent to jail over the Enron collapse. But in the end, I'm confident, there will be no proof of wrong doing by the Bush administration in this matter.
That won't stop certain media types and leftwing political operatives from reaching unjustified and unwarranted conclusions. I'm afraid, the finger pointing and mudslinging has just begun.
