This is an absolute outrage! This statue is a memorial dedicated to a SPECIFIC ACT...three WHITE firefighters, potbellies and all, raising an American flag at Ground Zero. We KNOW their identities, and those who designed the statue should reflect those identities as best they can. Why don't the PC bast*rds behind this just SPIT in the faces of the firefighters, as well? Which of the WHITE firefighters was represented in the statue, to the EXCLUSION of the other two? Any ideas? We all know full well that if the firefighters had been other than white, the sculptors would have gotten the details accurate right down to the wart on their nose, if such existed. Just once, I'd like a DOSE of REALITY! Destroy this statue, fire anyone involved with this offensive decision, and start over with a statue depicting the TRUE IDENTITIES of those who raised the flag. Want to construct a memorial dedicated to the different ethnicities/sex of those involved in rescue efforts? Fine...go for it. But don't you DARE insult the integrity of the fine men who raised that flag. Get this to Rush, Sean Hannity, Jim Quinn, Gordon Liddy, and ESPECIALLY Michael Savage! Don't let this stand! I don't know who said it, "The first casulity in war is truth", the left is at war with white middle class America. Had the three fire fighters been back, they would be depicted as black, it is now obvious that our leaders are at war with white America. Folks, imagine yourselves 30 years from now explaining to your grandkids one of the following:

1. This is a sculpture made from a photograph of NYFD men raising a flag at the wreckage of the World Trade Center. People immediately thought of the Iwo Jima memorial, another statue made from an important historical photograph.

2. This is a sculpture of 3 imaginary firemen raising a flag at the wreckage of the World Trade Center. Some white people at the time thought that the sculpture would have been insensitive to other races if it were made as it actually happened, although no one asked them to make it any differently. Believe it or not, 30 years ago some considered it worthwhile to change historical facts to make a political point. When you go to history class, be sure to ask your teach how you can trust your textbook if things like this were changed.

If they're going to do it, why not include "Tourist Guy" in the statue? At least then it would have humor value. Or how about making them Arafat, Saddam, and bin Laden? Immortalizing them raising the flag of the Great Satan! If we're going to rewrite history, let's do it with some flair, at least!
