ELGIN, Ill. -- Ted and Brigid Trimble say they were happy when Jose Deanda, a Mexican immigrant, moved in next door four years ago. The house had been vacant for a year. Mr. Deanda and his wife had a small child with a baby on the way, potential playmates for the Trimbles' boys.

Third world country habits need to be slapped down hard. It is not a race issue but a lifestyle and law issue.

Then the Trimbles discovered how Mr. Deanda was paying the mortgage for the small two-family house. Downstairs was Mr. Deanda's immediate family of four. The two-bedroom flat upstairs housed his mother, two brothers, a sister and sister-in-law. Five men Mr. Deanda said were his nephews moved into the basement. Though zoned for six people, the home contained 14.

...Mr. Deanda said that if the police bothered him, he would file a discrimination lawsuit.

Yeah, he's a natural Republican. Shovel money and perks his way.

Hugh Hewitt, are you listening?

If its that small a house they need to keep it from becoming a ghetto situation.... if they lived outside of a city then its their business I guess.

Welcome to the typical Hispanic family abode. Laws don't apply, do whatever you want. If some American citizen doesn't like it scream "racism" and sue em. In the meantime get fake IDs and vote for corrupt politicians that will keep this Mexican Gravy Train rolling.

The Trimbles say they moved to Elgin because they wanted an affordable suburban neighborhood that wasn't all white. "We didn't want our kids growing up in an unreal world," Mrs. Trimble says. At the time, the neighborhood was predominantly white, with a smattering of blacks and Hispanics.

Ahh yes, better to be careful for what you ask for because you just might get it. Nothing like getting an overdose of your own medicine. LOL.

We have tons of that here, the illegals come over and move in with relatives or friends, it's not uncommon to have 4 families living in one housing project apartment. They have to do that to establish "residency", you need an address to apply for benefits, jobs, schools, etc. A family I know lives in a small 2 bedroom mobile home, it was the mother and her boyfriend sleeping in one room, and the 2 daughters sleeping in the other bedroom and the son in the living room until the 15 year old pregnant niece and boyfriend moved in and got the girls' bedroom where they still live now with the new US citizen baby. Once they get their own welfare benefits, they can get their own place. Until then the teenaged kids all sleep in the living room.

I wouldn't say that though. It's more the typical illegal immigrant abode, the Hispanics who come here legally and work good jobs or who have been here for generations don't tend to do that.

I know this is about immigrants, but does anyone know if an illegal immigrant can buy a home? If so wouldn't the INS deport them?

South ASians are doing the same. In some middle class DC suburbs, curtains are setup to seperate dining & living rooms where a family of four/six may share each room.

You can be a citizen of Mexico and buy a home here. I live near the border and a lot of them buy cheap apartments to use for several families to share for their US residences but still really live in Mexico.

U.S. Seeks Thousands Of Fugitive Deportees
Middle Eastern Men Are Focus of Search

Tuesday, January 8, 2002; Page A01

Authorities will soon begin searching for thousands of Middle Eastern men in the United States who have disappeared after being ordered to leave the country, according to officials familiar with the operation.

The Justice Department has identified about 6,000 young men from the Middle East who have ignored deportation orders, and has decided to make the arrest and removal of them the highest priority among efforts to locate hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals who have defied such rulings, authorities said.

True but they are almost a minority these days with their own people. I've said this before but I hope these new immigrants on balance assimilate into our American culture. If they don't we have terrible problems ahead in this country.

I'm just full of questions tonight. If local police or even state police, like in Oregon, refuse to help won't this be an impossible task? Won't it have to be made a Federal Law to get some states to cooperate with Washington in detaining these visa violators?

Even here in Texas, much to it's everlasting shame, Austin and Rick Perry said that Texas police would not cooperate in asking Muslim men to speak to the F.B.I. and would not round up visa violators because this is a Federal matter.

I'm sure they can. The policy is that if we don't get them at the border they are a protected class of residents even if they are illegal. No one will challenge any bogus IDs they may proffer, as that would be politically incorrect. The survival part of me says that I better learn Spanish.

LOL, the only time Hughie-baby sees latinos like this is when they are mowing his lawn. They Don't Allow this behavior in yuppieville Irvine, so Hugh never has to enjoy this aspect of diversity. He'll still be licking huaraches when California is officially annexed to Baja California.

Yes, and you better not break them or you could end up in Jail because the law certainly applies to us citizens. I keep on thinking that we are like sheep being sent to slaughter.
