Yes, the rumors are true. I had the opportunity to ask our president a question today.
First, it began with a statement. Sorry, but I don't remember it exactly ----- Mr. President, my son-in-law recently returned from a cruise on the USS ENTERPRISE. He wants you to know that everyone on that ship, down to the last man and woman, is proud to call you their commander in chief.
He smiled and the crowd gave a huge standing O.
Then one of the event helpers tried to take away the microphone. I politely said no, I hadn't gotten to ask my question.
"Mr. President, now for my question. After you send Tommy Daschle to his room for being bad, please tell us how you plan to end our nation's dependence on foreign oil."
What a fun time and a great right wing audience!
Super job man!I sure hope GWB will paint little tommy boy an extremist who's
only aspirations are to run for President himself, and should
be shown for the lying, sniffling hypocrite that he is.
I'm searching C-SPAN for the exact time of the re-run! A MUST SEE!
Great job of making a point that Bush could not without looking antagonistic.
Just out of curiosity, can anyone remember this type of distinction being made about hand-picked Democrat audiences?
FReeper "doug from upland" to President Bush on TV today:

For the DU audience and AP, tell the readers whether President Bush did what the Clintons' regularly did and not only hand picked a supportive audience (note to Dems., lie down with dogs...), but wrote the questions and answers in advance. If the left can't behave and put the needs of the nation during war before their own selfish interests, they can go outside and play - and stay out of the way while our President and others actually work and risk their lives to save their beloved country for future generations. Bless you, doug. (^:
Our Patriot President gets better every day.
Fox News Network carried the speech but not the question session, so I quickly changed channels to CNN, who carried the event in its entirety, and there you were!
You came across loud and clear. You made the freepers proud.

You were WONDERFUL!!!
I jumped up and down and yelled, not even knowing it was you!
Great job!
Doug did NOT say "little" tommy....
WAY TO GO Doug From Upland!! To get three such excellent lines in on national TV is almost unbeleiveable.
