Last week I posted a opinion piece about Single and Alone for the Holidays (No Im not going to post a link! That article has run its course.)
You would be surprised at the number of responses I received via Freep Mail (There were millions!
well dozens.) Anywho, the thought occurred and was suggested by Texana RED (thanks for giving me permission to use your name) that next year we should have a Freeper Christmas Party for those of us who are single adults.
The original thread (No, Im still not going to post a link.) was about how non-responsive churches are to the needs of single adults, especially during the Holidays.
What do you think?
About the idea of a Freeper Christmas party, I mean.
Think about what you did this last week
do you want to go through the same next year? Tell us! Maybe we all can make it happen!(The party...not the link to the other thread...which I still refuse to post!)
What are your plans for this New Years?

I build my own now. I use the best parts available, and buy them at cost through work. I just built a 1.4 Ghz Athlon for $375. And, I'm 'testing' a new copy of Windows XP Professional at home.

Also a married guy who had a FReeper couple over for the family thing on Christmas Eve - they helped make the celebration wonderful and helped get me in the spirit of sharing.
Those singles that would attend such a party would have a ball, imo. JL

I worked at a Kentucky bank two weeks ago that had HP desktops less than 1 week old. 112 PC's, 12 out-of-box failures, and 15 more failures within 2 weeks.

I honestly can say that I've never had whiskey. I know it's somewhat different than bourban. What's the differance?Bourbon is whiskey! Scotch is whisky, the real thing, uisge-beath, the water of life. :0)

Best wishes for a Happy New Year! (I'll be sitting at the drunk-Cathoic table.)

I never debate religion - because God gave us all free will to choose.
Secondly, if people tell you you are going to hell because you are Catholic or because you have an occasional drink - they are just ignorant of what sends people to hell. Being Catholic or Methodist, or Presbyterian, Mormon or whatever, doesn't have a thing to do with whether or not you go to hell. Jesus called believers, the "church"; which means if you believe in Jesus and have received him as your Saviour, you are part of the "church". Your denomination is not relevant; and the "church" is not a building!
Besides, I love Mary - she was a tongue talker just like me. She was in the upper room on the day of Pentacost, and the Bible clearly says that ALL 120 of the people were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke with other tongues. How it must have thrilled Mary to find out her Son's death brought about the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
