Mike Gallagher, syndicated radio host, usually cynical and sometimes quite caustic, expressed a great deal of sympathy for the mom and daughter. He asked his callers to call in and give their thoughts.
A few brought up Susan Smith, the "mother" who drove her two little ones into the lake, but most callers thought like Mike did. People do stupid things and make mistakes. Mike said that this woman will regret this one for the rest of her life.
I like the idea of a prayer thread for them.

The intent of this thread is for prayer support and spiritual warfare, not to voice political views..whoa. i always thought jimrob saw this as a political forum rather than a religious one.
maybe things have changed in the last 5 years.

My prayers are for the little girl too. Regardless of what the eventaul results are, and the circumstances of her disappearance, right now she needs our prayers.

FreeRepublic is a political forum, as you well know. This thread however was begun by someone requesting prayer for a little girl. And I am very grateful to Jim for the opportunity to request prayer and join in such prayer threads.
For the most part, FReepers seem to respect these threads...for the most part...

"For the most part...." she breathed softly, stared contemplatively at her computer screen and reflected on her life's mission. "For the most part...." she carefully and sadly typed again. Living was so difficult at times....

I have been praying for this child's safety since I first saw this yesterday. I must agree with others here that something seems wrong with this picture.
This morning, the child's father was on with the mother and in response to Katie Couric's question to him about when he found out his daughter was missing, the father was just dumbfounded.
He stuttered around for a moment and then said, " I think it was..ah..what was it?... Friday the 21st, Christmas Eve?"
He was looking at his girlfriend for confirmation of when it was. He was very calm, just didn't seem to recall when he found out.
Very strange interview indeed.

A toddler who was taken from a Greyhound bus station on Christmas Eve has been found unharmed in West Virginia, according to the FBI.
The girl was found at a residence in the town of Williamson, and a woman has been arrested.
Glad she's okay...

Awesome wonderful news and a praise bump!!

I will gladly eat my words re: #28 if they find no connection between the parents and the kidnapper. Thank God she is safe. After 3 days this is not how it usually turns out.
