Riordan wants to be governor of ALL of California, but during our darkest days (literally) all he cared about was a few extra bucks for the bureaucrats in L.A.

Clearly all Riordan cares about is Los Angeles. The secret is out. Well the rest of us in California aren't going to sit by and let him turn Sacramento into a special interest power base for his pet city.

This whole energy fiasco has certainly shown us who the scoundrels are. Davis has to go, and Riordan would be as bad or worse. I'm supporting Bill Simon for governor.

--sounds to me like Riordan was doing his job for a change--unlike when he bailed the Demotraitor convention out with tax money--although if I was unfortunate enough to live in Commiefornia, I'd sure vote for Simon.

LA built its own system to insulate itself from the gougers and communists that surround it. Davis is one of those ultra-leftists who believe that, if you have something he "needs," then he has the right to take it because, well, you acquired it "improperly." If the thieves (no offense to Condit's kids, Davis consultant friends etc.) Sacremento don't want to buy power from LA under the terms they set, Davis can go somewhere else. I am delighted that Riordan had the brass to tell the democrap-socialists to go pound salt. Why else would LA have set up its own power system but lack of faith in the state's ability to guarantee continued supplies?

unfortunately for simon he has almost zero name recognition + no political experience. so, he's not going to get elected.

riordan does have name recognition + political experience. so, he has a better chance.

gov grey is dead meat.

riordan is a liberal republican, catholic. he's best buds with bishop mcphony. indeed, riordan + his millionaire friends bought the church leader his own helicopter in the mid-80's. the only catholic leader piloting his own helicopter, imagine that! (/sar)

apparently you don't like los angeles.

Good for Riordan. He owed it to LA to get the best price for the surplus power on the open market that he could. I expect the same of my town (Santa Clara) since we produce a surplus. If you don't like the situaton, vote out the bastard Dems and Reps that made this artificial "deregulated" market.
