In an angry outburst, Arafat accuses United States of bias toward Israel

An angry Yasser Arafat accused the United States of pro-Israel bias Friday during an interview broadcast on Israeli television.

The United States has been pressuring Arafat to rein in the Islamic militant group Hamas that took responsibility for suicide bombings that killed 25 people in Israel over the weekend. When asked about recent American pressure on him to arrest militants, the Palestinian leader became irritated.

Bias toward Israel? What is the bias? Asking him to actually do something to stop his folks from killing Jews perhaps? Such horrible bias those aweful americans show.

"Dear God, who cares about the Americans," Arafat said, striking the air with his hand at his office in the West Bank city of Ramallah. "The Americans are on your side and they give you everything," Arafat told Channel One television. "Who gave you the airplanes? The Americans. Who gave you the tanks? The Americans."

I am Pro-Israel, I visited there several times while in the US Navy and after seeing buses with chicken wire over the windows to keep those PLO crazies from chucking in grenades I say "Go Israel!!"

The United States also grants the Palestinians aid annually.

That needs to come to a screeching halt. You're not supposed to bite the hand that feeds ya.

These folks' problem is that they're in a high stakes poker game and they have no cards. So they try to tip the table over and scatter the stakes. And whine. If they had any sense at all, they'd join up w/ Israel, in partnership, and be the only Arabs in the world with a decent life.
