Don't see why you'd have to worry. The last thing on my mind is telling people what to do.

However Raven, I think a breakdown.........a dissection of the various questions posed would be quite revealing.
I found myself on many of them thinking, 'none really come close without expounding........wanna expound?

There has been some expounding in these threads. Mostly on the bias of the authors. Check out #115 for example

Like everyone else has noted, this survey is pretty much crap. It not only pertains more to the UK than the US, but it also doesn't address much that's relevant. There used to be a much better one, also with two axes, that I took before the 2000 election, but it has since been deleted. Its questions were based on issues that were current at the time. Anyone know of a better quiz? For legislators, I like to look at the Republican Libery Caucus www.rlc.org ratings (Paul, Chabot, and Schaffer among the top) and the American Conservative Union www.conservative.org ratings.
Anyway, for what it's worth, Texaggie79 (#96) and Unix (#6), you two were the closest to me; let me know when you want to take over the world. :) I scored a 0.62 slightly authoritarian (whatever!) and a 4.63 economic moderate-conservative.

Let's do it! As for the small authoritarian in us three, I will volunteer to keep an eye on the Lesbos!!! ;-)

The greed of the Democrats is absent from these tests. Example:
Suppose there are 10 waiters and waitresses in a restaurant - and three of them enjoy their work and also bring in substantial tips. The other seven think this is unfair and go to the manager.
The manager agrees and since all ten have monthly parking deducted from their checks....he decides to have the three best workers pay for everyone's parking.
A real world example would be the marginal tax rates.
The manager, above....picked up seven votes and lost three in the next election. He also had no concerns for his paying customers or what's good for the restaurant - other than making the seven complainers feel good.
Mis-use of government powers
