Well the left wing maggots have to put up with us for at least 3 months! Thanks again for what you have given us!

That definitely needs to be repeated!!!!!

An excellent point! Just think of Carville, Brokaw, Jennings, Rather, the Clintons, Press, Jackson, and all the rest of their socialist ilk pounding their fists against the wall with ANGER and RAGE knowing that Free Republic LIVES for another three months to shine the light of TRUTH on them 24 hours a day; seven days a week. I am delighted to have been able to contribute to such a scenario...it feels GOOD!!! G-d Bless the Republic; G-d Bless FREEPERS and the Robinsons!

There are some very interesting differences with this Freepathon besides the amazing speed with which we reached our goal.

We had at least double the number of contributors that we had last time. Obviously the average donation was smaller.

In the past we've had some big donors, who when we bogged down came in with a big hit or a big challange to generate excitement. We did not need that this time.

I would guess that 75% of the donors this time were first time donors.

In the past some large donors wound up giving three to five thousand dollars to keep us going. That was definately not necessary this time.

I am so very pleased that a much larger portion of our readers and posters pitched in with their posts and their money.

This is truely a breakout for our participants and I see FR having a big growth this coming year.

Now to my team 2nd, BIS, WIMom, Topaz, 1John, Clikker, Palo Verde and all (I hope I have't missed anyone) . I thank you very very much. It would not have been possible without you. May God Bless you and your families.

Joe

"Have you ever seriously thought about what it would be like without FreeRepublic? Scary!"

Just the thought of it is too much, 2ndMost!

When JimRob put up that thread just before the Freepathon, I had such a sinking, empty feeling, thinking that he couldn't go on much longer. Reading it, and the comments from Freepers made me feel better, but I'll never forget my first reaction. It was like a kick in the gut.

I hope Jim feels better because of the response to this Freepathon.

GrampaDan's 'Monthly' plea couln't have come at a better time, either! It was the prelude to this successful Freepplea. I am so proud of all of us, and so thankful to the dedication of those who put so much time in.

Bless us all!

. . . we have to watch out for my grand daughter. She is 30 months and has been very protective and jealous of others in PaPa's lap.

See? I knew you had a good lap. LOL! God bless the children.

A special thanks to you Grampa Dave.

You took it on your own to run collary threads to boost the monthlies. And boost them you did. The ingenuity of the American people never ceases to amaze me. Bless you

Good news, indeed. Although I don't know this as a fact, I had the distinct impression the last freepathon reached the goal largely because current givers "dug deeper"?

Whatever, I'm so pleased this freepathon was dispatched so quickly. Good job, donors, organizers.
