US is Israel's partner in aggression: Saudi papers

RIYADH, Dec 5 (AFP) - Saudi newspapers Wednesday slammed the United States' biased policy in the Middle East and charged that Americans and Israelis were partners in aggression against the Palestinian people.

"Washington is a partner in the Israeli aggression, militarily through the F-16s and the Apaches, and politically through sponsoring the organized Zionist terrorism led by (Israeli Prime Minister Ariel) Sharon," Al-Bilad said in an editorial.

"Sharon's aggression was expected ... but the US administration's clear and direct backing of Israeli terrorism was not," the paper said.

The English-language Saudi Gazette said US President George W. Bush was quick to condemn Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, and his spokesman was also quick to endorse the Israeli air strikes on areas held by Arafat's Palestinian Authority.

"Sharon went on the rampage only on his return from Washington after meeting Bush. That his actions have the blessing of the Bush administration is evident in Fleischer's statement," the daily said.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said Monday that Bush "understands that Israel has a right to defend herself."

Al-Watan, warning that Palestine is not Afghanistan, slammed Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair for expressing sympathy with the Israeli offensive.

"Palestine is not like Afghanistan, and those who fight in Palestine are not terrorists. They are fighting for their freedom and dignity and the integrity of all Arabs," the daily said.

Okaz noted that since the September 11 terror attacks, the American people have been asking why they are hated by the rest of the world, and said they should follow the news of Israel's brutality in Palestine to get the answer.

"If the Americans just watch what America is doing in the world, with Israel executing (US plans), they would get the answer to the big question. Had they done so, they would have known why they are hated, and they would have shouted in the face of their administration ... 'we deserve to be hated', " Okaz said.

"As Washington fights terror on one hand, it is only encouraging state terrorism on the other. While it brands Syria, Iraq and Libya as terrorist, it (describes) the Israeli war machine as an instrument of self-defense," wrote the English-language Riyadh Daily.

Israel Monday launched the largest wave of air strikes on the West Bank and Gaza Strip since Arafat's Palestinian Authority was set up in 1994 following Palestinian bombings that left 25 Israelis dead at the weekend.

Well I'm not a historian, but I do have a long memory. The old Clinton peace talks were going along at there usual pace, as Bill wanted to settle the ongoing mess, so he'd have something positive to say about his administration.

Then Sharon took a little walk to visit a mutually important religious area for both Israeli's and Palestanian's.

That ticked the Palestanian's off and they started attacking Israeli patrol and citizen's with rocks, rifles and mortors.

Tit-for-tat since the fall of 2000.

I wonder where the PLA security forces were when that started the current cycle of events? Porbably collecting rocks for the street warriors to throw.

If some group did that stuff to us, we'd kick their butts too. I tend to think that Saudi Arabia is a big place, why not house the Palestanian's there and settle the whole mess?

Oh that doesn't get rid of the Israeli's does it?

So, the Arabs need to learn to live with it or get their butts kicked continually.

If these Saudi cutthroats are calling this the action of FREEDOM FIGHTERS, then I MUST mention the LIE in that innocent sounding bit of propaganda.

Freedom Fighters don't BLOW UP babies, teenagers, general civilians, and oldsters as primary targets. Sometimes Freedom Fighters have attacks on the MILITARY of the force they oppose in which collateral damage takes place and civilians are inadvertently killed.

These COWARDS, however, are TARGETING civilians. They are not Freedom Fighters. Their tactics prove them to be cowards, dogs, swine.

What does this do to the status of our partner against terrorism, Saudi Arabia? The problem of the Arab states is going to have to be solved in the near future. To allow this sore to fester is just prolonging and expanding the problem.

It always amazes me to what lengths some of these idiots will try to stretch the meaning of "freedom fighter."

I guess Jeffry Dahmer would qualify if he'd only been eating Jewish babies in Palestine.

And the ragheads had damn well better remember that too. We are done with putting up with their noise. The whole region's problems (or whole problem region) can be removed with a few nukes placed to prevent fallout on Israel. The peoples and cultures of the mideast (other than Israel) have produced nothing worthwhile and have produced far too many problems for the rest of the world.

There comes a time when someone will just not repent and turn to the Lord that God cuts them off and casts them into utter darkness. It seems to me that the arab world is treading on that line and that God will use the civilized world to send quite a few of them on to their (for them un-)expected end. Hopefully most will repent and be saved prior to that but we cannot let them continue to deny innocent people the chance to gain heaven.

God Save America (Please)
