At this point in time, I am just listing the highlights of subjects that those of you who were there and/or saw this on the news should comment on. I will post more detail later as verified information comes in. Thanks to everyone for your support and especially to those who showed up today. Also, may God Bless Free Republic for helping us communicate this way.

1. Kensington Town Kouncil "Taliban" were nowhere in sight today.

2. Mayor Raufaste spun this event out to the press as a "patriotic tribute" rather than a Christmas tree lighting.

3. Santa was NOT allowed to light the tree. The mayor used a wall of firefighters and rescue personnel to hide that fact.

4. All the major networks and news wires were there.

5. FReeper Santas dominated the event and made it very enjoyable for the children of Kensington. The oohs and ahhs from the kids were plentiful!

BTW, another sign I loved yesterday was "No Santa, No Peace." If anyone's idiotic enough to try this again, wouldn't that make a great chant? That should get the media's attention.

TSR, you need to go to his website (I won't link to it, as he and all his "work" are banned from FR, as it should be) and read his "news article" on the events, and read his followers comments and his own follow-up replies, and then see if you can still make that statement.

This is the first of the highly compressed pictures taken with my cheap digital camera.

Notice the man in the far right side with the notepad and (unseen) cameras strapped around his neck. We suspect he was an ADL mole posing as a reporter. Did anyone get his real name? If so, post it here since he is not protected by libel laws once he portrays himself to be "legitimate" media.

Yes, I read about that heretical assault the other day. Montgomery County has essentially been doing that for years. However, so far, our local government has not officially stooped to that level of exploitation of the 9/11 tragedy - at least not yet.

Montgomery County Rebel defiantly smokes cigar in front of Kensington Town Hall. Witnesses called for the Town Kouncil to arrest him, but, the Kouncil Taliban must have been hiding in a cave somewhere in Kensington that day. - ;-)
