At this point in time, I am just listing the highlights of subjects that those of you who were there and/or saw this on the news should comment on. I will post more detail later as verified information comes in. Thanks to everyone for your support and especially to those who showed up today. Also, may God Bless Free Republic for helping us communicate this way.
1. Kensington Town Kouncil "Taliban" were nowhere in sight today.
2. Mayor Raufaste spun this event out to the press as a "patriotic tribute" rather than a Christmas tree lighting.
3. Santa was NOT allowed to light the tree. The mayor used a wall of firefighters and rescue personnel to hide that fact.
4. All the major networks and news wires were there.
5. FReeper Santas dominated the event and made it very enjoyable for the children of Kensington. The oohs and ahhs from the kids were plentiful!Much more to be posted, soon...

Twice in one month Maryland has passed the anti-PC test. Being a Marylander, I know that this state is a litmus test for PC success.
Miracles are always there. Glenndening must be beside himself...
Ping!

Great going Freeper Santas.
Pop quiz to all who cheered these Freeper Santas!
What enabled these Freeper Santas to be able to identify the problem, work up a strategy, call in the Santa Freepers to become another success against Left Wingers?
Yes, the answer is the Free Republic Life Form. How do we keep this important life form alive for the next challenge:

As long as the PC police didn't arrest anyone, for Maryland, it's a pass...

WBAL-TV (Baltimore) had a story, with pictures. Looked like hundreds of Santas, even one riding up to the tree lighting on a fire truck. Many folks with Santa hats. It was a glorious sight.
The downside, the idiots lit the tree while it was still very light out, and you couldn't see the red, white and blue colors. I suspect that the "city fathers (and mothers) just wanted to get it over with.
There was some mention of a scuffle, with a guy with a bull-horn. More at 11.

Quickly, before I sit down for dinner--we met two FReepers for the first time today: Hobie Baker and Miles Veritatis (sp).
We had a great time and were well received by the townfolk. Many of them were decked out in Santa hats. Of course, there were lots of fully decked out Santas.
A good time was had by all, except the politicians and the lone rabblerouser who was straightened out by the Santa bikers :-)
