We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!
Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."
If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!
5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!
Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.

One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!

We only have one list for monthly donors. It was started during the last FReepathon in hopes of encouraging FReepers to make monthly donations so that Free Republic would have a regular, steady source of income that could be counted on.
I also saw ANOTHER list somewhere of the DOLLAR A DAY donors.

Ron, I just pinged BadJoe re your request. He is our admin guy with his fingers on the pulse of the givers!
I did just that! Cancelled my subscription to the Atlanta newspaper (I don't read it since I found FR), committed to $10/month (to pay for my 'FReep fix' plus one FReeploader), and still I save $22.18/year!
Any FReeper or Lurker who makes a regular monthly donation to Free Republic by credit card or check may add his/her screen name to the list by simply FReepmailing the message "I am a monthly donor" to me.
The list is completely voluntary. It is posted on the fundraising threads at least once a day during FReepathons.
We want to see this list expand until we have thousands of FReepers and Lurkers to make certain that Free Republic, the best website in the world, will continue to be here and to grow. Thank you all for your support.
