We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!
Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."
If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!
5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!
Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.
Are there 5,000 good Stewards out there who can afford $5/month to keep alive the Free Republic Life Form?
One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!

We will have to figure out some way to update the list. Of course BadJoe, probably has that data! If not we can do something Monday!

Thanks for asking! My oldest son called earlier and wanted to know if I would go with him to stand in a nearly freezing river up to my keyster and toss flies to innocent fish. When my wife threatened to shoot me, I said "No Thanks!"

We only have one list for monthly donors. It was started during the last FReepathon in hopes of encouraging FReepers to make monthly donations so that Free Republic would have a regular, steady source of income that could be counted on.
Your screen name was the first added for this FReepathon, which includes those who signed on after reading Grampa Dave's thread. All names that come after you are those FReepers who have expressed a wish to be added to the list and includes some who have been regular donors for years.
As you can see, only 43 names have been added so far for this FReepathon, even though BADJOE stated yesterday morning that more than 100 new monthlies had come in, including Grampa Dave's thread.
The list is not just for new donors, all regular monthly donors are encouraged to add their screen names to the list. Just FReepmail me "I am a monthly donor."
I do believe that this thread of yours is making a fair number of LW'ers mighty uncomftable! Excellent!! Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Perhaps we should also have a special list - Grampa Dave's 5000. It was this thread that inspired me to commit to a monthly pledge. I'm sorta proud to be on Grampa Dave's team!
