Okay, sources have said we were briefly aired on Howard Stern, (now I know which of my contacts is lurking there....)Sean played the whole song today, and Quinn's Warroom is still blasting away with Steve Malzberg back east and Pete Wilson in the West.
I'm doing an interview on WDEL 1150 AM radio in Delaware at 9:30 Eastern with RICK JENSEN.He and I chatted about the song already and he now has the full version.
At 7:30 Pacific I have another interview with KBTU 101.7 FM in Salinas/Monterey, Ca
Hope some of you can listen in!

ZING-SONG MAN:Firefighter Mike Moran [aka FReeper "royal IA"]
plugs the CD inspired by his "Kiss my royal Irish ass" remark
at the Concert for the City of New York last month.
He says proceeds will go to the relief effort.

The Ballad of Mike Moran
"The Fireman Song"
Written by Doug Cogan & Christopher Storc
The Fireman Song, also known as The Ballad of Mike Moran
is a song that pays tribute to all of the brave men
who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
As songwriters, we hope that it also offers a sense of empowerment to those who hear it.

(Donning flameproof suit now)
I wonder if the title should really be (out of respect) "The Ballad of JOHN Moran"??
Please no flames, just wondering
Thanks.
To: calvin sun
I suppose that could be a valid point. However, the words were uttered by Mike. The title is however, in my view irrelevant. What is important is the end result.

Okay, truth be told, Freeper Cacique DRAGGED Vetnet, (kicking and screaming in the wee hours of several mornings) to make the site look as professional as it does!
Thank you for these bruises, Cacique!!!

We actually did consider that very title, Calvin Sun. The (in)famous phrase, though, was declared by John's surviving brother, Mike, who showed an amazing courage and clarity that empowered an entire nation into adopting a bold new attitude.
We hope the song shows a deep sense of respect for all of the people who sacrificed their lives that fateful day.
Thank you for the chance to open a dialogue.

'Hep' is a perfectly good word. One of our ?distinguished? pols used to say "Ah only want to hep you!" (Forgot who it was, but Rush often reminded us of this ?benevolent? statesman.)
