CNBC "Hardball" host and Democratic Party insider Chris Matthews said Saturday that New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton can't wait to become president of ther United States.
"She's dyin' for it," Matthews told NBC's Tim Russert, on Russert's own weekend CNBC interview show.
RUSSERT: What about your fellow Goldwater groupie Hillary Clinton?
MATTHEWS: Ah, you know, you're a New Yorker, a New York stater - um - Hillary is dyin' for it. But she's also miserable right now because of all this patriotic stuff going on - she can't stand it.
Matthews recalled an incident where Mrs. Clinton seemed reluctant to pledge allegiance to the American flag.
"I remember Hillary - I'll tell you this about Hillary," Matthews told Russert. "She once said, 'I pledge allegiance to the America that can be.'
"What, are we on probabtion?,' Matthews exclaimed.
"When is she gonna lighten up about this sort of thing," the CNBC host added. "This is a great place instead of her constant complaining."

Isn't that the truth. I was hoping billybob clinton wouldn't make it the first time he ran for President. I KNEW that billybob couldln't make it the second time. Then when hillary ran for Sen. of NY I just knew that the liberal New Yorkers wouldn't elect hillary. Look what happened. Methinks they are all powerful sometimes. (Just kidding God) But it certainly makes one sick, sick, sick!
She is biding her time and consolidating her power within the Democratic party. They will elevate her to savior sometime between now and the 2004 election. Who but Hillary has national name recognition and can galvanize the troops for liberal causes?
The biggest tools in the Democrats' arsenal are hatred, fear, divisiveness and cheating (not necessarily in that order). They will use these to convince the uneducated, the poor, the elderly, minorities, etc. that the Republicans are out to get them, take away their rights, etc.
Besides, Hillary does not have to win a majority in order to become president. Her husband didn't. A charismatic third party candidate could split the Republican party and siphon off enough votes from the front-runner to put her back in the White House.
Unfortunately, there are a number of scenarios under witch she could achieve her presidential aspirations, some more constitutional than others. Don't think for a minute that she and her cronies haven't got that figured out.
In 2004 she will be able to use the 9-11 Attacks as poison against GWB for "ignoring the needs of the economy, abusing 'the people's' rights...and NOT being successful fast enough at eliminating terrorism.
In 2008, there will not be a strong enough GOP candidate...so Shrillary walks in...
Simplistic but that's what the sheeple like.
Two other things to consider: First, every GORON voter is a Hitliarity voter, it will take a HUGE effort on the part of the "Sleeping Giant" (aka Duh GOP) to counteract the Goron.
Second, the willing accomplices in the Left Wing, Boot Licking, Lap Dog Liberal Media LOVE HER. The stench of their sucking up to "Her Crustiness" is already permeating the land. NY media helped elect her, the National Media aided and abetted in the crime. ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCEtc. are just drooling at the thought of her running...

I find this extremely hard to believe. Matthews may make this claim, but unless you were in the voting booth with him and will swear under oath that you saw him, I wouldn't believe it.
Matthews is a liberal to the bone and he is never to be trusted. He'd vote for Hillary for President in a beltway minute.
i agree with you. i never make the mistake of counting her out too soon. i truly believe she is in cahoots with the devil. she may even be the antichrist!
On a side note the technology exists and will be used soon to show pictures and or film of you or me or anyone doing things they never did.So that saying who you gonna believe me or your lieing eyes might have some new meaning soon.I believe it is this technology that will bring down anything moral and right about America.You can bet the scumbag knows a few things we dont and will use them to get to be P.
This romantic view lies at the root of left-totalitarianism. What made Bill Clinton tolerable was that he was also an opportunist who was willing to wait. But she is a true-believer whose time is running out, a Rosa Luxembourg-type who has left behind all that her ambitions in reality.
