I'm afraid that Bill O'Reilly has really nailed it. It's time for all liberty-loving Americans to do all they can to keep in check the wounded but still powerful news media. I have no doubts that most are waiting for the opportunity to strike against Bush and to simultaneously start spinning for whoever appears to be the Democratic successor to X42.

Regarding Bush-41, the media was his worst enemy. I once saw a video presentation of the strategies used by the media day after day, making the economy look far worse than it was and downplaying the many signs that the economy was recovering. No candidate ever had it as easy as the slickmeister from Arkansas had it.

"For the first time, I now truly understand what people like the Bushes and the Clintons have to deal with."
Here we go again, with O'Reilly setting no distinction between Bush and Clinton. Yeah, I read the next paragraph when he tries to justify it, but it cannot be justified. A moral commander in chief is incommensurable with a world class CRIMINAL.

for providing military deployment info that could threaten military lives.

Thank you, semper_libertas. There's also the charges of giving aid and comfort to the enemy and sedition. I hadn't thought an explanation necessary when I posted. Obviously, the obvious escapes some folks.

You might want to check on just how few Americans actually watch Jennings, or Rather, or Brokaw. Without looking myself, I would guesstimate no more than 10 million combined. And their viewership is probably mostly left wing activists, college professors, high school teachers and the like. I n a land of 280 million, thats peanuts.

Obviously, you didn't really read what you were referring to in your haste to post. This is what you said:

asking if certain statements they are making against the Administration/Bush is treasonous, etc.

"Making statements against the Adimistration/Bush" is a very, very far cry from what is actually the issue here. If not, there is a considerable problem.

The wife noticed how W cut a nice slice of turkey. Said ... "did you see that? his technique is perfect."

I guess women notice these things.

I would prefer a nice thin slice of liberal, but you can't have everything.

the more media snipers appear to blow your figurative brains out.

And what can we do about this? Turnabout is fair play. Whe are these media snipers? Do they always behave themselves? Are they faithfull to their spouses? Have they ever done anything wrong?

If they use these tactics on the President, they should be prepared to face the same on their personal lives. They are public, though un-elected figures.

I cannot help remembering the DUI charge that surfaced about W just a few days before the election - not time enough for a reasoned defence of the charges. So unfair!

No wonder many of us hold the "mainstream media" in utter contempt!

Many, however, watch Katie Kuric, or Matt Liar. If that's not convenient (or entertaining enough), they go to Rosie "attack Selleck" O'Donnell, Oprah, etc., where their views are just as liberal. I haven't seen any recent studies on what news shows Americans watch, but I bet it's predominantly liberal. There's also print media, where most of the newspapers (not all, of course) are also liberal. I don't know, kind of hard to get around the socialist/commie propaganda unless you intentionally avoid it (as I generally do now since the attempted coup in November and felt disgusted by the liberal talking heads).

No argument there. I do believe though, that the Texan who spoke up to Jennings was a much more representative slice of Americana than some might choose to believe. Only about 20% of America is solidly to the left. I know....thats too damned many. LOL

Those who watch these imbiciles are "lost causes"

I used to think O'Reilly was the cat's meow. The more I have watched him the more I realize he is much like other journalists. He has his own agenda too.

He's has a know-it-all big-mouthed attitude like some liberal journalists. And he seems to seldom touch issues regarding Bush that concern Americans.

We are praying daily for President Bush, and he shall not fail.

Clintoon had no prayers, because no one who believes in God believes in Clintoon.

I see you have a lot more in common with the emperor than Darth Vader:

"The emperor is not as forgiving than I am."
