Brings back memories of my youth - a very traditional Italian lady laid up in a Seventh day Adventist Hospital (a very good one)...
Every night a couple of us would visit (along with her daughter - nobody is entirely philanthropic at that age) carrying salami, cheese, sometimes Pizza up our sleeves.

The coffee was odious as well but that's standard for any hospital.

We'll be having meat turkey. From a bird. Raised in oppressive confinement, force-fed chemicals and foodstuffs, beheaded, gutted, plucked, then roasted slowly for several hours with dried, seasoned bread crumbs jammed into its vicseral cavity.

I expect it to be delicious.
