I didn't see it, but really wish I had.
This article makes it sound like an ambush by WFAA, a well respected, local ABC affiliate. That would surprise me.
I can't stand to listen to Mark Davis (local "conservative" talk show host on Rush station), but after this, I think I may have to give him another chance.

Note the Peter Jennings: they're right, no one like you! Go back to Canada you socialist pig!

At the May 2000 NRA convention in North Carolina I saw Peter Jennings outside the entrance just standing there alone. I approached him and said hello politely and started asking him why he did not report the "real" news (quoting some examples), and why he was so liberal in his news reporting. His countinace changed drastically ( I suppose because I didn't goo and gaa over his presence) and he simply stated "Thats the Business". He didn't last long at the convention. No body there even would talk to him.

Nobody likes him, everybody hates him. I wish he'd go eat worms.

In fairness to Peter Jennings, he is the stupidest of the television anchors, he can't help himself.

Kind of reminds me of the scene in "Animal House" where Blutarsky coughs into his hand "blow job" and everyone picks up on it. Do you think that maybe those of us in the Red Zone(Animal House) are doing this to the media? Isn't it funny to see them losing control of the class?

I believe this gentleman was our own Okiedust! Check out the end of this thread:
Thread on Jennings' townhalls
Okiedust said he had been invited to the Dallas townhall because he had a letter published in the Dallas Morning News complaining about media coverage. I pointed him to the Gallup Poll that showed the media with the lowest approval ratings of all public institutions and urged him to ask Jennings about that. Looks like he did!
Go FReepers!!!!!

Mr. Jennings agreed that a "number of people took objection" to his remarks, in which he asked on the air, "Where is the president of the United States?...I know we don't know where he is, but pretty soon the country needs to know where he is." His comments were "in no way intended to question his [Mr. Bush's] actions," Mr. Jennings said, but rather to express "how important it was for all of us in the country to see the president."
Comrade Jennings needs to realize that it isn't his job to "express how important it was for all of us in the country to see the president." It is his job to report the freakin' news as it happens and leave his opinions, agendas, and editorial comments out. If it wasn't for Fox News I'd go insane

I'd say...
The problem isn't simply that Jennings' reporting is unpatriotic
The problem is that he would wear that criticism as a badge of honor!

he is the stupidest of the television anchorsAlthough that cannot be disproven, there are several other anchors about whom the same statement could be made without fear of contradiction.

No, no. "Long thin slimy ones, short fat juicy ones, itsy-bitsy fuzzy-wuzzy worms."
I have it on authority from a Girl Scout who says her troop sings this song all the time.

Yes I was there and had a question prepared based upon the Gallup poll, but they didn't get to me. Rats. I was loaded thanks to you. But I feel really disappointed that I didn't get to ask it. I did speak with the gentleman who had his letter referenced about Jennings, he sure could have been a freeper, but I think he would have been in contact if he was.

No, sorry, didn't tape it. It had Jennings as the moderator and I cant see wasting a good $1.99 VHS on that moron. Also, Im not a big fan of Mark Davis, but he did OK on this occasion.
To: anniegetyourgun
No Mr. Jennings, WRONG AGAIN.....it was important that the President and the Vice President be SAFE. It isn't about the man, it's about the institution. Something libs never got. They never acknowledged what their hero did to the institution, still whining about it only being about sex.
To: JenB
Well, the long thin slimey ones slip down easily,
The short fat furry ones stick between your teeth.

I saw it and it was everything that has been described here and more. The clip they speak of being aired before a commercial showed PJ in his true color, freely spewing lib garbage about how the American People "need to see the president."
When Sept. 11 was ongoing that Tuesday morning I saw PJ live during the segment that was shown in the clip. He was doing nothing more that trying (as if!) to get the President to reveal his current location.
As far as Mark Davis is concerned, MD is about as conservative as a wind sock.
