Fuel Dump Inconsistent with Lack of Distress Call
copycat's litter box ^ | 11/12/01 | copycat

Posted on 11/12/2001 1:40:55 PM PST by copycat

The latest from government bureaucrats like Pataki, and their willing accomplices here at FR is that "Since the pilot dumped his fuel, it must have been an accident."

Unfortunately for those who would argue this theory, we have already learned that there were NO distress calls or unusual communications of any kind.

Pilots wwould dump fuel if they had a mechanical failure and planned to return to the airport. What are the odds that a pilot would dump his fuel and NOT decide to inform the tower of his decision? (Corollary question...How easy is it to radio the tower of trouble?)

In addition, eyewitness accounts clearly state that the right wing of the plane was seen to explode and take out the tail. An accident? I think not...

"I think the government will try to say accident as long as possible or no-one will fly anymore, and the airlines will go belly up"

I have been thinking this since it happened this morning. Not that the admin is telling them to lie about it, but I suspect the admin is saying to be very careful about what they say regarding any suspected terrorist activity.

However, it would not surprise me in the least if it was another attack. We know there are possibly hundreds of these fanatics still in our country.

I'm not afraid to leave my house because for one, I'm not in an area that has all that many Muslims or who they are most likely targeting (Jews), I also will not fly or go to places where they are crowds. You can ignore that there is a Jihad, you can choose to believe all the anthrax letters were just accidents and Sept 11 was just 4 accidental plane crashes too.

The salient point is that in either case a CONSPIRACY to surpress the truth is not evident except in some delusional minds

Then you have the delusional mind, since I never claimed a conspiracy. I claimed that those in gov are purposefully minimizing today's crash in order to prevent panic and save the airline industry.

Earlier today, they reported that because there no unusual Communications that it appeared that the plane had not been hijacked. That led to the assumption that the crash was an accident...completely ignoring the possibility of sabotage.

It's like Jimmy Durante always said. "Everybody wants to get into the act. Goodnight Mrs. Callabash, wherever you are."

> Daniel Pipes immediately said "you have to understand [middle-eastern terrorists] are obsessed with us"

It would appear that many of the things we are finding out post 9/11 suggest that *middle eastern* terrorists were indeed involved in Oklahoma City. We bonafide tinfoilhatters use the hats to protect our delicate sensibilities from verbal projectiles aimed at us from government-trusting nay throwers using the reflective attributes of the shiney stuff.

Just because I think it could be a possibility doesn't mean I see boogeymen behind every bush. Puhleeeeze! And ... according to the news I was listening to, there were several east coast airports shut down, immediately.

Many yerars ago my flight instructor used to tell me over and over and over "aviate, navigate, communicate" ie: first and foremost, FLY THE AIRPLANE! Maybe, just maybe, if this captain had an engine separate from the aircraft, he was to busy to communicate that to the ground.

It looks like to me (from what is available) an engine catastrophically failed shortly after takeoff. If the story is true they were doing a fuel dump then they still had control. It then looks like the rudder failed and separated from the plane. At that point all was lost.

If the rudder did fail after an engine failure Airbus has a lot to answer for. That is not an acceptable design if true.

The engine failure could have sprayed engine parts though the side of the plane destroying their radio communications.

The question remains, was it simply an engine failure, sabotage or a bomb in a baggage hold.

don't give in to these trolls. They will use insults to attempt to keep you from thinking "outside the box."

I was caught off guard once for not considering all the possibilities and I will never let that happen again.

I have a hard time believing that the Jihad on America and this exploding plane are coincidence.

We've had planes crashing for years, long before this Jihad was declared.

The engine failure could have sprayed engine parts though the side of the plane destroying their radio communications.

The one witness who helped recover wreckage from his boat said that from the time the debris ripped the tail off until the jet hit the ground/water was just a matter of three seconds or so! Once she blew the pilot barely had time to blink before it was all over but the flames.
