Fuel Dump Inconsistent with Lack of Distress Call

The latest from government bureaucrats like Pataki, and their willing accomplices here at FR is that "Since the pilot dumped his fuel, it must have been an accident."
Unfortunately for those who would argue this theory, we have already learned that there were NO distress calls or unusual communications of any kind.
Pilots wwould dump fuel if they had a mechanical failure and planned to return to the airport. What are the odds that a pilot would dump his fuel and NOT decide to inform the tower of his decision? (Corollary question...How easy is it to radio the tower of trouble?)
In addition, eyewitness accounts clearly state that the right wing of the plane was seen to explode and take out the tail. An accident? I think not...

No conspiracy, just an attempt to save the airline industry.

Additionally, MSNBC anchor stated about half an hour ago, that he had just been told that the A300 is incapable of dumping it's fuel. I can't confirm this however, but maybe someone in the know can. MSNBC resident expert stated that the fuel may have been coming from a catastrophic hole in wing/engine, and he seriously doubted, as you stated, that the pilots would have even had the time to do it.

Here is a theory to fit the facts.
Terrorist grabs stewardess, and demands captian open door to cabin, or he will activate bomb in cargo hold with his cell phone.
Captian refuses to open door,, and starts dumping fuel.
after 30 seconds terrorist activates bomb.
Kaboom
EVERY Cell phone is a potential radio activated detonator, it would be rather simple to rig up.

Believe it or not, not every action taken by our government and or our airlines is not a conspiracy. Sometimes things jsut happen, such as accidents and mistakes that dont seem to be easily understood. What benifit do we have now to cover up or take part in an airline crash?

Probably time to change the litter in the box. This thread's already starting to stink.

So I guess we'll agree that the fuel dump story is bogus. What is the reason for it, then?
I think the government will try to say accident as long as possible or no-one will fly anymore, and the airlines will go belly up.

>...or unusual communications of any kind.I have one thought, and one crazy question...
Since Klinton, we know we have to "parse" official language carefully. All the officials I've heard keep repeating the mantra "no unusual communications" from the plane. But, if there _were_ an explosion on board, then calling for help would not be unusual. The officials might be telling the truth about no unusual communication, but they might also be not letting us in on the whole context.
That's certainly stretching, but what the heck, it's hard to imagine there were no communications with the pilot...
Secondly -- and this is certainly tin foil stuff -- but is it possible that the people who thought they saw fuel being dumped down from the plane may actually have seen something like tracers going up from a modern, high-speed Gatling gun? (Since nobody would have _expected_ to see any such thing, they may have mis-interpreted what they saw. From what I've read, modern versions of such "low tech" weapons are capable of literally "cutting off" an engine or piece of wing.)

Until we know certain facts, no extrapolation can be made. Was their radio out? Did an engine part sever controls? We don't know. We won't know for a few days. Patience is advisable for a couple of days.
