USO Canteen Freeper Style
War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil. We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.
On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.
William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."
The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.
This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."
We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.
This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.
Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!
"No Marine was ever honored for what they received. Honor was the reward for what they gave." (Anonymous) CHIEF gave his all in many ways. He touched our lives and his friendship meant so much to all of us. He will live in our hearts forever, and his friendship will always be a bright and shining memory in our hearts and souls.

Execellent condition and framed for years. Actually, it was his father's. Dad grew up in DC, (thus all the "spook" childhood friends). His father had been the staff physician for the Washington Star newspaper. Jim had signed and noted the cartoon as a tribute to my dad, his "favorite Leatherneck." You can imagine he hung that thing with pride. I am keeping it preserved for my son, who dad taught to swim...and shoot. My dad was quite impressed when my son broke a 30 year old record for marksmanship with a rifle at a summer camp, shortly before dad's death...

Hi, gang!
Just heading off to bed, after eating some of the delicious chocolate-chip oatmeal cookies me and my little angels made tonight. They even made a sign for me to open a cookie store called 'Daddies cookies' (I suggested daddies little angels cookie store, but they insisted)
Have a wonderful evening.
Keep me in your thoughts, I have a court date this friday asking the judge to reconsider the custody thing- and 5 things have happened that cant help her- 1) her FOURTH lawyer quit on her 2) the police were bringing her son home when I picked up the babies the other day 3) she filed yet ANOTHER false affidavit 4) she has been arrested and stood trial for filing the previous false charge after I was found completly innocent...and 5) my poor baby Kara has started wetting the bed again since living back with her (after being potty trained at my house for the last 6 months...*sigh*)
I hope we can convince him he should reconsider..

I would like to share with our troops the kind of thing FReepers do. We fight for right and FReedom in American in our own special way. Not fighting like you well trained troops do ,but in a unique way. We make signs, hold up the Flag and show up to protest wrongs that are being done.
We counter the negative of what we see happening to our Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. We hold our Constitution in the highest regard and want others to do the same. When politicians fail and disrespect their positions and what America is about, lie to us and are involved in criminal activity or need to resign from their posts we take action.
We do a thing called FReep. And when a FReeper FReeps , people listen, they take notice and we are persistent in our endeavors and never forget and never give up.
Jim Robinson as you have seen is the founder or FRee Republic and is a man of honor and integrity. He is much loved and respected. He leads the charge much as Mel Gibson did in "Braveheart" or "The Patriot".
I would like to show you a sample of the type of thing we mean by FReep. The picture is of FReepers doing a FReep .
We FReep for our Troops as well which you can see by clicking on the link with the Fresno and D.C. logo under our main into to the Canteen.
Picture of Modesto FR Condit Crime Squad
Our Commanding Officer, Jim Robinson was already in position holding Old Glory. Two of our regular protesters were present placing signs on the street corner. Osama Pinata was in place mounted on the light pole. I snapped a salute to the CO and then gathered the signs from the trunk of my car. The horns were already sounding from passing motorists.
We veterans are men and women of Honor, Character, and Integrity. These three qualities are totally missing from the congressman from California's 18th district.
Report and it is wonderful was written by our very own Diver Dave.
You can read the entire report at this thread.......

I'm just glad that you don't find me good looking like Billie and Snow Bunny do. I would be really concerned if that were the case. LOL
When will you be making your concession speech?
To: Snow Bunny
One more:
The reason the U.S. Armed forces have difficulty in coordinating and cooperating with each other is that they do not use the same jargon and misunderstandings frequently occur. For example...
If you tell the Navy to secure a building, they will simply turn out the lights and lock the door.
If you tell the Army to secure a building, they will occupy the structure and permit only persons with the proper pass to enter.
If you tell the Air Force to secure a building, they will take out a three year lease with an option to buy.
If you tell the Marines to secure a building, they will call for an air strike, assault the structure with heavy artillery, ground and small arms fire, capture the facility, fortify and hold the ground at all costs until properly relieved. SEMPER FI.

We will never tire of seeing our military! Oh in that case, here is one more:
Vice President Dick Cheney, right, and Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps James L. Jones stand at attention as an honor guard passes Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 during ceremonies at a Washington hotel marking the Corps' 226th birthday. Cheney vowed the United States would win its war on terrorism and defeat any enemies "who employ the tools of terror." (AP Photo/Rick Bowmer)

Let's not even joke about that! LOL
When will you be making your concession speech?
Tell ya what....you get a signed declaration from Bunny and Billie stating you're #1....
then, and only then, I will concede.
It just ain't gonna happen.
Now sober up, Dave. It's your bedtime.
