My Fellow Americans, LET'S ROLL![President Bush, November 8, 2001]
Good Morning!! Do not let them die in vain!!
What a speech!! IMO, the best yet.
But I must draw a contrast - it just screams out to be done.
A certain junior Senator from New York goes before a crowd of police and firefighters two weeks ago in New York's Madison Square Garden to give an introductory speech, and she is booed from the stage.
A certain President of the United States, exercising ultimate gravitasTM, goes before a crowd of police and firefighters in Atlanta and receives a hero's welcome.
I think the junior Senator from New York has to be wound so tight this morning that her broomstick broke.
On the war front:
In the South Asia Theater of Operations (SATO), NA ground forces are reportedly moving on Mazir-e-Sharif. No word on whether the city's fall is imminent.
The Stennis CBG is on its way to SATO and will take station in the Arabian Sea.
On the Home Front - the Government has turned to using a Civil War sedition statute to both detain and prosecute suspected terrorists. It's sort of a natural follow on when you announce a jihad against the United States.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
The Hollywood reporter said that some war movies, like "Behind Enemy Lines" have been moved up from January to Thanksgiving release due to the war. I find this interesting since those people are in the business of reading the public mood.
Yes! This is a very good thing. Ad Council stuff is everywhere!
I just heard Hannity on Fox talking about Laura Bush's speech to the Washington Press Club yesterday. Fox didn't show the question and answer session afterwards, so I missed this.
QUESTION: When are you going to write a book, Mrs. Bush?
ANSWER FROM LAURA BUSH: I don't know...maybe when I get an $8 million advance.
HA! That will teach Hillary to roll her eyes when George is making an important speech.! HAHAHAHA!!
kachina....found out the source of that "sex-crazed" 7 year old of mine..apparantly, there's some show (cartoon) on Fox at 8pm on Thursday nights....Michael's teacher watched it last night because she wanted to find out what the heck these kids were talking about...turns out...it's a NASTY, DIRTY, X-RATED cartoon. And yes, the 3 stooges in Michael's classes WATCH IT.
Off to sleep I go...I am going on a "date" tonight with Mr. DJ and another couple. I'd like to stay awake for it.....:-)
"South Park"
Molly, I've witnessed parents doing this to their children in public. It does make you feel uncomfortable. Poor kid.
I went to Wal Mart today and witnessed two women arguing in the pet department. They were saying a few curse words to each other. I think they were related. Anyway, that was not pleasant to hear, nor was it the place to argue.
A pup was given to me last week, he is a cur mix. His name is "Ozzie", proudly named after the man who gave him to us. I took Ozzie to the vet and he was a hit with everyone and well behaved.
I also have a baby squirrel, the poor thing fell out of a tree. I have to feed him every four hours, his eyes opened yesterday. So far he seems to be thriving.
Such is life at my house. I hope everyone is well.
God Bless America and God Bless our President!
Remember: November 11 is Veterans Day. Fly the flag, thank a veteran.
Later all.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Freaking armchair wannabe advisor!
I have the grumps also.
