I don't know about him but I was not involved. And I know that America was not involved in the Crusades. As this is a secular ruled country, we are not a "Christian" nation. As such we have no "debt" to pay.

It is more than a matter of them "seeing the world differently than we do". They seek our destruction as being "infidels" living in a world incompatible with theirs. Yes there is a war raging within Islam, but we do not need to engage the Muslim world in a "debate". We need to get the "peaceful" Muslims to join with us to rid the world (by force or conversion) of the hostile-separatist Muslims.
