BUMP

The CIA should not become involved in domestic law enforcement involving US citizens by having access to grand jury info and wiretaps on US citizens. There is tremendous potential for political abuse in this. This is another sign of a growing police state. These provisons will probably never be recinded once the war on terrorism is over.

Are these new tools for an AntiChrist to run his world government and subjugate the American people?

Funny, there was an article posted maybe an hour ago entitled 'You Worry Me'. It was from some mid-western woman to the general Muslim population in America. Many posters were gleefully agreeing.

I have got to say though that there is something ominous that worries me much more than Muslim families in our presence. It's this dark cloud of authoritarian presence that is descending upon us at an unprecedented velocity. This worries me. I hope that once the chill of 'terrorist' attack thaws on this land, we don't find that another critical battle has been lost while we were wincing.

"...the U.S.A. Patriot Act, the law empowers the government to shift the primary mission of the FBI from solving crimes to gathering domestic intelligence. In addition, the Treasury Department has been charged with building a financial intelligence-gathering system whose data can be accessed by the CIA"

The PATRIOT ACT???
Talk about adding insult to injury...
The name alone is a slap in the face.
Although it looks as though a lot of people, who should know better, are falling for it.

This is why I call it the GESTAPO law and I've been accused of being an anarchist or a libertarian by a couple of clowns on this forum. Why can't people see the POTENTIAL future danger in this law?
BTW, I support Pres. Bush's efforts in this "police action"

The CIA is nothing more than a make-work project for ex-mental patients. They're all a bunch of druggies!
