The CIA should not become involved in domestic law enforcement involving US citizens by having access to grand jury info and wiretaps on US citizens. There is tremendous potential for political abuse in this. This is another sign of a growing police state. These provisons will probably never be recinded once the war on terrorism is over.
Are these new tools for an AntiChrist to run his world government and subjugate the American people?
Now there is a credibility building argument.
I hope that those who are indulging in this orgy of blind patriotism don't get tricked into an unquestioning trust bond with the government. The point is, you may not be in bed with who you thought (take it from me, I learned this trick in college ;))
It rained down on anyone who committed the most minor of crimes. There was a report of a man who solicited a prostitute and his vehicle was legally confiscated because he was in his vehicle while attempting to procure the services of a street prostitute.
In my county, law enforcement has repeatedly confiscated the vehicles of small time drug dealers. These people were not the millionaire drug dealers this law was created for. Homes have been confiscated under this law because some small-time criminal sold a few ounces of marijuana from his house.
So now that we have given broader powers to the CIA to fight terrorism and mass murder, will they stop there?
