Can only hope this isn't another 'foot in the door' the way the property confiscation of drug lords turned out to be. That law was enacted to strip drug lords of property and money gained by large-scale drug sales.

It rained down on anyone who committed the most minor of crimes. There was a report of a man who solicited a prostitute and his vehicle was legally confiscated because he was in his vehicle while attempting to procure the services of a street prostitute.

In my county, law enforcement has repeatedly confiscated the vehicles of small time drug dealers. These people were not the millionaire drug dealers this law was created for. Homes have been confiscated under this law because some small-time criminal sold a few ounces of marijuana from his house.

So now that we have given broader powers to the CIA to fight terrorism and mass murder, will they stop there?
