My good friend and Free Republic regular Jeff Head spoke with me on the phone this afternoon with the great news that Pocket PCpress, a major publisher of electronic books, has expressed strong interest in Jeff's recently completed work of fiction Breath of Fire, a tale of the coming third world war. Mr. Doug Clapp of PocketPCpress wrote in his endorsement on Jeff's website:
"My company, PocketPCpress, gets to see a ton of novel submissions. Most are truly terrible...which is sad. We wish it weren't so.
We recently had the good fortune to read Dragon's Fury-Breath of Fire by Jeff Head and -- for the first time in a long, long while -- we were absolutely knocked out.
Don't be mislead by the fact that -- for now -- this is a self-published book offered only on the author's website. I'm sure this won't be the case for long. This is an amazingly accomplished, professional, techno-thriller that will make you turn page after page after page -- and enjoy every minute of it.
I could go on about plotting and characterization and all that, but I won't. This is simply a hellava great read and "right on" about what's happening in the world today. Tom Clancy now has some serious, serious competition."

Jeff went on to mention that Mr. Clapp has also put him in contact with a New York literary agent who has requested expedited delivery of a complete hard copy manuscript in anticipation of possible print publication. For those of you who may not have seen the initial announcement, excerpts from Jeff's book Breath of Fire can be found here.
This is a most noteworthy and laudable achievement and a source of pride for all of us here. It is also even further evidence that Free Republic is the beacon of American liberty which both attracts and stimulates the brightest minds to be found on the net or anywhere. Congratulations to you, Jeff !
However, once you have a nice paper-and-ink copy available for purchase.... be sure to let me know. By FReepMail, if you like.
Best,
Uriel
This Ebook publisher has hooked me up with a couple of print publishers and agents in NYC who have requested manuscripts. If one of them picks it up, there will be a lot more available.
Until then, I will just order them as I get the funds. Like I am doing now.
Anyhow, that's where I am at. Thanks and hope you can get one soon and that you enjoy it if you do.
Regards.
I'll check out the "order page".
Thanks,
Uriel
Tell you what... I am moving into a new house (God Willing!!) as of December 5. Since your book starts shipping the third week of November, do me a personal favor -- put me on your "ping" list for that timeframe. I will (hope you understand) be more comfortable ordering a copy by check-and-Mail once I have finalized my new physical address.
That said, *do* keep me advised -- I look forward to enjoying the book very much this Christmas.
Let me know where I can get an autographed copy ASAP ! Stay Safe !
Good job and wishes for the best of fortunes, Jeff.

Excuses, excuses...all I know is I've seen you compose more than a few perefect pargraphs and this tiny little slip of the fast-moving finger touched my funny-bone...(=^D!!
"Hmmm ...an NFL team.... The Boise Dragons, perhaps ? An NFL team needs a fight song - Hail to the Redskins is a great one. Are you up for some composition?"
Hail to the Dragons...Fight Tyranny!!
Head's in the Warpath...Fight!! Fer Ol' Boise!!
Lemme know when I need to have it finalized...LOL!!

Don't doubt it a bit...yer a good man, Charlie Brown.

Tip 'o the hat. You've done what I've only imagined ...
I'm hoping a big house can grab it and run with it in time for Christmas, but I don't think there's time (except for the Ebooks), so I'll be pushing them until something better comes along.
Thanks for the kind words.

Just use the order page and place the order with a request and I'll accomodate.
I may be through there in December on my way down to see my folks for a week ... if I do, I believe it's my turn at Big Texan ... I'll let you know.
Beverly, hope all is well with you and yours. We're talking some serious years here now ... the year man landed on the moon if I recall right.
My folks are still out there West of Bolivar ... as is Greg. Some things ... thank goodness, never change.
Best

This book and in fact the entire outline for all five books have sort of gone that way.
Hope you get a chance to read it ... and if you do, I hope it's enjoyable and engrossing.
Regards!
