...and some general web research hints...
Most of us are aware of Free Republic as "The Premier Conservative Forum"- but do you realize what a powerful tool it is for research and analysis?
Not only does "any story or issue worth discussing" eventually end up being posted here ( usually days, weeks, or months ahead of the Jackal Pack Press ) but it is instantly analyzed, dissected, critiqued, and flayed by dozens or hundreds of people from all over the world.
Lies, spin, and propaganda die swift deaths on this site-- moreover, posters usually contibute more data, stories, links, and even memories that "flesh out or kill" a particular item.
Doing web ( or Free Republic ) based research is easy! Here are two engines I like:

Here are all the search engines you'll ever want or need:

Here are our own "lists of lists" on FR:

And how to make/add your own list for "indexing":
Looks like the Outage for Database Changes was John at work the other day which now allows us to retrieve huge number of articles indexed by key words in the Oficial Bump Register.
For example CALPOWERCRISIS has nearly 2000 documents now retrievable!
John has truly done a marvelous thing!

Here is some general info I "wish somebody had mentioned to me at first":
And here's the Master Link to "stories the media doesn't like to talk about":
DUBOB 9-- even *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast.....
Dive right on in! But be advised you may turn into a "research nut" who is continually annoying your friends & family with obscure yet tantalizing bits of data you have gleaned from the web....
I resemble that remark...now if I only had time to digest it all.
Bookmarking bump!
Too late ...
Drives you nuts, doesn't it? You either get zip! or tons & tons of info- almost too much for one person to digest!
Lord A-Mighty! I forgot to include the Archtype of all!
-Alamo-Girl's excellent collection of Clinton & more! Links--
If only the web had been as big in 1990-1991 as it is now, we could have spared this country a lot of grief!
Perhaps we need one of those "12-step Programmes" to aid the victims of this pernicious addiction...
