Tariq al-Aziz, servant of the devil, traitor to the Christian faith, renounced his Christian name and took a Muslim name whilst claiming he never became a Muslim. A dark devious heart of stone and a mind of poison are in this man, a perverter of the faithful, a rebuilder of Babylon the damned.
The Clintonistas gave them time to rebuild, refine, and retool their methods of warfare and terror. For giving the Iraqis time, everyone in that Clintonian government should be apprehended for treason. A long walk in the Sahara is too good for them.

Tariq Aziz's threat is consistent with your theory about the anthrax.

Grave consequences is generally a code word used for nukes.

Odds are Iraq knows we'll kick their ass so badly next time I bet they'll start unrestrained use of bio and chemical weapons on the battlefield.
Let's skip all that and go to the part where we nuke them.

Geeze, "GRAVE CONSEQUENCES"???
What do you suppose they're going to do??? Kill thousands of innocent Americans by--oh, say--hijacking some planes and murdering 'em in cold blood???
"Consequences" are now, OUTWARDBOUND!!

Why do I get the feeling I have heard this before?

Didn't Pres. GW Bush withdraw troops in '91 though many people wanted him to take out Hussein then? Clinton hadn't even come into the national picture yet...

Grave consequences are 5-6 small nukes exploding amongst the Afgan mountain caves.

They got their butts severely kicked last time, and their country devastated. I'd suspect that they'd not want to fight the same way this time.
Though its difficult to get accurate info on the anthrax attacks here, I've seen it reported that there was a definite sequence in how dangerous each next letter was. That sounds like a sequence of warning shots to me. How much damage could Iraq do here if it had a few hundred moles ready to start spreading anthrax, smallpox, etc. by a variety of vectors?
For years the US and the USSR avoided attacking each other because of Mutual Assured Destruction. Perhaps we are now at that same impasse with Iraq.

"Iraq said yesterday that it expects to be attacked by America and Britain and warned of the 'grave' consequences if any attempt was made to topple Saddam Hussein from power." After Sept. 11th, all I can say is ---- '--.

Yeah but after they lose this time, they will starve twice as many of their own children. That'll teach us.
Wait a minute ... that just might work.
