Condit FReep Report - 10/27/01

Posted on 10/27/2001 4:41:22 PM PDT by Diver Dave

What a busy week it's been California's Congressional District 18. On Tuesday, (10/23) CA Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza (D-Merced) announced in Stockton, Modesto, and Merced that he is running for the congressional seat currently held by Gary Condit (D-CA).

Wednesday evening at a ceremony held in Merced to honor individuals for their efforts to build a University of California school in Merced, Gary Condit's wife Caroline finally spoke in public. Caroline was there to accept Gary's award plaque on his behalf because he was busy in Washington DC with matters of Congess (no mention if interns were involved). Caroline said, "I'm behind Gary 100 percent and I hope you will be too."

Today, a small number of concerned citizens joined forces to keep Gary Condit's name before the public in Modesto. With a banner hung between a light pole and stop sign at 16th and J Streets in downtown Modesto, these patriotic citizens fired off chants to the passing motorists and pedestrians passing by. "Gary Condit's a Dirty Old Man - Send Him to the Taliban," "We Have Not Forgotten - Gary Condit's Rotten," and "Adios, Gary, Adios." Lot's of honking horns, friendly waves and thumbs up from people as they passed by. Today, no one saw anyone flip us off like they have done in the past. This marks the 15th Saturday in a row that we have FReeped the most famous congressman in history. BTW, MY congressman is worse than yours.

Along with these Saturday events, we have also held some mid week freeps over the months since July 17th. We have made our presence known to the public and the support we receive by far excedes the Hug-A-Condit crowd.

Freeper Roll call today:

We will now begin our Civics lesson. Pay attention, their may be a test. Mentioned above was the busy political scene in the district. Also filing papers with election officials this week was Linda De Groat running as a Libertarian candidate. Cardoza and De Groat join four other candidates for the 18th district. The others who have filed papers with the elections office are Gary Condit, dirtbag, (D-CA), Tom Ciccarelli (D), Dick Monteith (R), and Bill Conrad (R).

Candidates are allowed to file papers, gather 1000 signatures to have the filing fee waived and are thus place on the ballot in the March Primaries. Candidates have until December 7th, to complete the filing process.

Condit has hired his kids, Chad and Cadee, (you remember them don't you?) to run his re-election campaign. Just another reason to keep them from getting real jobs I would guess. There goes the bell. Study Hard. Class dismissed.

I just wish Congress would give Gary his Pink Slip. He has earned it.

"I'm behind Gary 100 percent and I hope you will be too."

Careful, Caroline! If you are BEHIND Gary, you can't see clearly who he might have in FRONT of him at any given moment!

Question-so did Condit get the 1,000 signatures or did he have to pay a fee?

As far as I know, which isn't much, they are still gathering signatures. As a matter of fact, they are mailing petitions out to people on their mailing lists so the sheeple can help gather the necessary signatures for them. SiFiPattie suggested that everyone just sign "Chandra Levy" in the blank spaces. Works for me.

Thanks Jim for filling in the spots where my mind went blank. Seems to happen a lot lately.

Was Chris able to fix the door latch?

Thanks for sacrificing your Saturday afternoons to make that long boring drive from Fresno to Modesto and back.

Fellow Freepers, I took a vote among myself and me and it is unanimous. Jim Rob gets to scrap Condit's name off the glass at his office when the dirtbag is finally gone.

Thanks to you all.

If condit thinks he can hide behind the tragic events of 9-11, he is sadly mistaken. The DC FReepers have more in store for him. Like you folks, we have not forgotten him.

I nominate Jim Robinson for the George Patton award. One of Patton's principles was "lead from the front." That's Jim Robinson out there on the front willing to take abuse from brain-damaged Condit supporters. Way to roll.

I noticed a long yellow ribbon stringing out from a tree near our FReeping spot. Reminded me of police crime tape. I sure would love to get some of that crime tape and tape off Condit's office some Saturday. Also, next door is a vacancy sign. I'd paste one of those up too. "Office closed. Lost our Lease."

ROTFLMAO!!! What a great picture that would make. Can you imagine having that picture go out over the national news media wires and the future mileage it would get?

Keep up the great work. You have thousands of FReepers with you in spirit. Jim Robinson, Diver Dave, and SiFiPatti ROCK!!

As usual, Diver Dave, YOU DA MAN! Thanks for the report and thanks for the great freep!! I sure missed being there Saturday but my granddaughter's first birthday party was sooooo cute. I spilled the punch but thank Goodness the party was in the back yard so no harm done (except I felt humilitated and dumped some of the punch on my other granddaughter). Anyway, I did my duty to the family and will be back next Saturday to freep with my pals. Thanks for holding down the fort in my absence. By the way, did you notice the police "monitoring" you? For victory & freedom!!!
