What a busy week it's been California's Congressional District 18. On Tuesday, (10/23) CA Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza (D-Merced) announced in Stockton, Modesto, and Merced that he is running for the congressional seat currently held by Gary Condit (D-CA).
Wednesday evening at a ceremony held in Merced to honor individuals for their efforts to build a University of California school in Merced, Gary Condit's wife Caroline finally spoke in public. Caroline was there to accept Gary's award plaque on his behalf because he was busy in Washington DC with matters of Congess (no mention if interns were involved). Caroline said, "I'm behind Gary 100 percent and I hope you will be too."
Today, a small number of concerned citizens joined forces to keep Gary Condit's name before the public in Modesto. With a banner hung between a light pole and stop sign at 16th and J Streets in downtown Modesto, these patriotic citizens fired off chants to the passing motorists and pedestrians passing by. "Gary Condit's a Dirty Old Man - Send Him to the Taliban," "We Have Not Forgotten - Gary Condit's Rotten," and "Adios, Gary, Adios." Lot's of honking horns, friendly waves and thumbs up from people as they passed by. Today, no one saw anyone flip us off like they have done in the past. This marks the 15th Saturday in a row that we have FReeped the most famous congressman in history. BTW, MY congressman is worse than yours.
Along with these Saturday events, we have also held some mid week freeps over the months since July 17th. We have made our presence known to the public and the support we receive by far excedes the Hug-A-Condit crowd.

We will now begin our Civics lesson. Pay attention, their may be a test. Mentioned above was the busy political scene in the district. Also filing papers with election officials this week was Linda De Groat running as a Libertarian candidate. Cardoza and De Groat join four other candidates for the 18th district. The others who have filed papers with the elections office are Gary Condit, dirtbag, (D-CA), Tom Ciccarelli (D), Dick Monteith (R), and Bill Conrad (R).
Candidates are allowed to file papers, gather 1000 signatures to have the filing fee waived and are thus place on the ballot in the March Primaries. Candidates have until December 7th, to complete the filing process.
Condit has hired his kids, Chad and Cadee, (you remember them don't you?) to run his re-election campaign. Just another reason to keep them from getting real jobs I would guess. There goes the bell. Study Hard. Class dismissed.
I just wish Congress would give Gary his Pink Slip. He has earned it.
Nah, they just gave him a seat on the Home DEfence Committee.
By hiring his kids, he can funnell what's left of his campaign $ to them in wages, IMHO. He must have an inkling that he will not win, and that is one way for him to use up that $ and keep it in the family.
Oh, if only Gephart and Hastert would have done their jobs months ago, then you fine folks could have more of your Saturdays to freep other things (or freep online, or just enjoy the day!), and we'd have one less blackmailable cretin we all have to pay wages, benefits, and untold perks, to.

Suggestion for ya...didn't Cardoza own a topless bar?...well for your next demonstration.....couldn't you hire a stripper..or two..but clothe them somewhat......have them carrying signs like "ECDYSIASTS for CARDOZA"..and/or VOTE FOR CARDOZA; HE'S NOT AS SLEEZY AS THE OTHER GUY!"
Also, a group of ladies from Reno stopped by. They borrowed some anti-Condit signs and flags and had their pictures taken outside Condit's lair. Glad Condit was out. Would hate for the ladies to be molested.
We also had several of our regular (non-FReeper) Modesto area protestors with us today. Lots of signs, flags and bullhorns. We'll make sure the voters of the district do not forget what a jerk they have in Congress. "Condit is a dirtbag!"
I noticed a long yellow ribbon stringing out from a tree near our FReeping spot. Reminded me of police crime tape. I sure would love to get some of that crime tape and tape off Condit's office some Saturday. Also, next door is a vacancy sign. I'd paste one of those up too. "Office closed. Lost our Lease."

I sure can't argue with you there. Mine is Ron Paul. I usually agree with him and, as far as I know, he hasn't murdered any interns.

Thanks again for another round of speaking out against that disgusting excuse for a sitting U.S. Congressman and member of the Permanent Select House Intelligence Committee. Sure looks like Condidit is taking that "Permanent" title seriously.
