CNN is now showing the letters that were sent via US mail with anthrax. Turn it on now -- With Wolf Blitzer.

Not from an American, due to the way the number ones are written.

Content of one letter, shown on CNN:

"9-11-01

You can not stop us.
We have anthrax.
You die now.
Are you afraid?
Death to America.
Death to Israel.
Allah is great."

We should expose those terrorists to this stuff that we have been trying to get information to. Or at least make believe we gave it to them.

BTW, the other letter shown had different content, but the same printed handwriting. The number "one" was written like a lower case letter "l" in letter on a keyboard, and for that reason, they do not believe these letters were written by an American -- it is a European or Middle-Eastern way of writing a "one" according to the expert on CNN.

Well, I don't know about that. I'm an American, but after seven years of French classes I make European sevens. How was the phrase God is great written, English or Arabic?

Also, CNN reported today, and I hadn't heard this before, but maybe you did: President Bush actually came right out today and said "I do not have anthrax." Very chilling for me to hear that report, and to realize our president was tested for anthrax in biological warfare.

Also consider the handwriting will be bad assuming the terrorist was wearing some thick rubber gloves and a protective mask. Probably could hardly see what he was doing.

No; the second two shown on this thread look to be copies of the same letter. They are identical even going to the "A" in Allah which appears to have been overwritten (maybe the pen crapped out?). The letter to Daschle is someone else's handwriting. That means there are two people doing this at least.

I don't know. What kind of terrorist sends you anthrax, then advertises the fact, giving you enough warning to start medication? Why not make the letter innocuous enough looking to sucker you long enough to do more damage?

While I can certainly believe Osama's/Sad-damn's goons are capable of this, why not someone who wants to make a killing on the stock market (pun not intended). Any interesting activity relating to Bayer stock lately?
