US strips Jewish army major of security clearance
By Arieh O'Sullivan
The US Army has revoked the security clearance of a Jewish reserve major, forcing him to give up command of an intelligence unit, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
The officer claims the action was for no other reason other than his close ties and affiliation to Israel. He said this reflected an inherent anti-Semitism in the US intelligence community.
Maj. Shawn Pine, commander of the 300th Military Intelligence Company (Linguist) of Austin, Texas, holds dual US-Israeli citizenship and is also an IDF veteran of the Golani Brigade as well as the elite US Army Rangers.
Pine, a specialist in counterintelligence, said he was given top-secret clearance after going through a detailed background investigation and polygraph in 1991.
Born in the United States, Pine immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of 17 in the late 1970s. He was conscripted into the IDF and served three years in the Golani Brigade. But after his discharge, he returned to America for university studies. He chose a military career and served nine years as an officer in active duty in the US Army.
"It is not like my service and affiliation with Israel was kept a secret. I have always been very forthcoming in disclosing all of my interactions with Israel," Pine said.
"As with many Americans, the events of September 11th reinvigorated my sense of patriotism," Pine said. "But rather than try to utilize my experience and education, the US intelligence community is mired in a paranoid abyss in which it perceives every Jew to be Jonathan Pollard."
First sign of trouble, the guy goes to the Israeli press? What took us so long? He should be drummed out completely.I agree. The apparent tendency to grant press interviews doesnt fit well with a top security clearance.

But here is the crux of it. The crux of it is emotions getting in the way of military structures. Just as women and gays should not serve in ships or in combat because they could go AWOL with a general while the country is at war, we should have no affirmative action and leftist college boys going in the US armed forces.
As for Jews, if there were a holocaust in Israel, and the US armed forces had for tactical and strategical reasons to sit there and do nothing while it would happen, I would not like to have Jews around to see that happening because I know most Jews would not stand it and not be able to see that national security and the union are above holocaustic catastrophies. That is why Lincoln refused to go to war for the slaves, but however saw that the South was developing terror tendencies against the Northerners as they were siding with England and the slave trade powers.
By the current standards of accepting gays and women in the military, I find this action against a Jew to be a double standard. However, let us make things clear, certain mixtures in the military do not apply. It is no multicultural pic-nic out there in war.
War is hell, what can I say, we cannot discuss about discrimination in military circles, but this is what 8 years of Clintonism has lead to.
That's funny... aren't members of the US military sworn in with an oath that contains the phrase
"preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States"?
Also, am I not mistaken, but is this the same officer who went AWOL a few months back and was found in Israel? If this is the case, then not only does he need to be stripped of security clearances, but also be courtmartialed.
Last Time I checked... They are on our side!
Israel is on Israel's side. Dont forget that. All countries are for themselves first. That is their job.
Pollard, The Walker Gang, Ames, Hannsen, Benedict Arnold, the muslim US army sargeant (whose name is probably Al Mohammed or something like that) that was involved in the embassy bombings, were all well trained too. If the experts are concerned then let them do the job they were trained to do. This is war time and when we err let it be on the side of caution.
I know you must know this.
Just posting as FYI for others after I found it on the internet.
