PC above all. Diversity is our strength.
Cultural conservatism is better than tribal one. All who consider themselves as ones of "European" culture, and united by Christian religion, should stick together.
I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that this is nothing more than an excuse to get rid of Taliban and stabilize Afghanistan for an oil and gas pipeline. This was never about 9/11. We've been had again by our anti-American "leaders".
Both borders need to be secured. Otherwise we will have a fifth column amongst us. (If not already)

I'm glad there's alligators and their healthy appetites.
I'm glad there's swamps in Texas, that are only a short drive.
So ya'll come on to Texas if you have to drive all night
I'm glad there's alligators and their healthy appetites.
when will mexico be called a terrorist harboring nation?
A sad but true statement. I was raised in the country in the 40's and 50's. We didn't have these problems. We never locked our house or car. But of course America was not overrun with illegal aliens either.
We simply hung "POSTED" signs on our barbwire fences and that pretty much took care of the problem. None of the farmers that I knew would allow their land to be used as a gateway for illegal aliens. Sadly those days are gone forever.
It was also the attempted entry point for a vehicle full of explosives just prior to the 1999/2000 New Years events.
Canada is known to have numerous Muslim population centers, including several large, long established and well organized Islamic extremists centers. Two of the largest are in Vancouver, BC and near Windsor, ON where they can interact with the Muslims in Dearborn, MI (the largest Muslim population center in the U.S.).
Border patrol agents on the southern border have long out numbered those on the northern border by about 8 to 1 (even though the northern border is vastly larger, has hugh stretches of lightly populated areas, is hardly patrolled and wide open in many places for miles and miles). In August, in recognition of the growing recognition of the real threat our northern border offers, customs announced it was going to shift a lot of agents to the Canadian border.
You can worry about the Mexican border all you want, but it is far more secure than our northern border which is known to be a major point of entry for terrorists. And while you're busy putting the military on the Mexican border the terrorists are boating tons of weapons across Lake Erie, or skimming across the Detroit River in two minutes with a load of explosives, or driving a Jeep full of anthrax into North Dakota, or bringing in more fishing trawler full of terrorists down along the northeast coast, or....or a few thousands miles of endless possibilities.
You folks are putting dead bolts and armed guards on the front door and the whole time they're coming in and out of the back of the house...where there aren't even any walls.
Er, didn't they enter the US legally and overstay their visas? Facts, please.
This thread, however, discusses "illegal" entry into the U.S., and the potential for "illegal" entry via Canada, from existing Islamic extremist population centers, is far greater than via the Mexican border.
OK, how many hijackers entered the US via Canada?
Considering they had visas, it didn't matter which port of entry they used. They didn't carry any explosives, so please don't obfuscate the issue.
As far as muslims from Canada, how are they different from muslims in the US? If you don't want to let in muslims from Canada, who possess the legal status allowing them to do so, then aren't you building the case for re-evaluating of immigration policies, since American muslims are not different from Canadian ones? Then it would be only fair to extend new immigration policies to all and not only muslims.
Also, while Mexican border may be more secure, it's much easier to get to Mexico than to Canada.
