Reminder - Threads will no longer be broken beginning Friday, October 19, 2001. The recommended setting in your preferences for this thread is at least "100" posts.
A reminder to all - be vigilant. This bio attack could well be a diversionary tactic.
Also - everyone needs to remain calm. Hysteria will not help the matter. Stick with the facts, and these are that the places hit are very few in number and the number of folks infected are very few in number taken against the Nation's population.
Continue.
Just make sure he doesn't catch the flue.
The Senate and House run for cover ...
Our President went to ground zero armed with a bull horn ... but no hard hat.
There seems to be a stunning shortage of steel ones ... if you do not mind me saying so ... feh ...
If these had been our leaders over 200 years ago ... we'd still be talking funny and dating our cousins ....
The Senate and House run for cover ...
Cowardice.
Our President went to ground zero armed with a bull horn ... but no hard hat.
Bravery.
Disappointment occurs because Daschle did not beleive the terrorists would attack him. He had to believe that the terrorists saw Daschle as a friend.
Daschle was disappointed because he did not expect the Islamis terrorists to go after him. He expected them to see that he was not their enemy. It seems certain that Daschle does not see himself in the same class of Amercian as the people in the WTC or the Pentagon. For if Daschle saw himself as being the same as those atacked, he could not have been disappointed at being attacked.
Only if Daschle sees him self as of a different class than our busines and military leaders, could he be disappointed at being attacked.
It also means that Daschle did not see the terrorists as being really bad people. He saw some justification in their attack on the WTC and the Pentagon. He was disappointed because he could see no justification for the terrorists to attack him.
YES! Chairman ... I was comparing one man who has them with the 600 plus who do not. YIKES!
I hope no one was confused by my statement.
Thanks ...
I just wish they had shown a little American ingenuity ... maybe moved their meetings and such to another location ... regroup and stick together ... show UNITY UNDER FIRE ....
When you want to know which direction a person is really going ... watch his feet ... not his mouth.
A whole bunch of feet are saying RUN FOR THE HILLS .... (puke) as Josephine would say.
Could they have not used the Hoover building ... the SUPREME COURT ... each of these structures could have suited ...
I am after spittin' nails here ....
LOL! I am sorry ... I see the folly of my ranting ... as I safely type this in my home with my pup holding my feet hostage ...
Anthrax found in Pataki's offices ....
Congress keep a secret? ROFLOL!!!
Considering I work in the Land of Eternal Chaos, Sirens, and Madness, I will tell you that Congresscritters share one trait in common - aversion to risk. If they were sitting on information that things were far worse than they are, the political fallout would be too intense for them. Therefore, trust me - with my nearly 15 year of experience in this town - when I tell you it ain't so.
Now we have Congresscritters before the microphones on local radio saying that there is "no panic" in the Capitol - HA!
Well, there is definite cowardice. I will tell you that the people who commute here daily underground on the subway, with full knowledge of what our enemy could potentially do yet persist, have more courage than those yellow-bellied excuses for leadership.
In the War of 1812, our leadership stayed to the last minute, despite the advance of an actual British ground force that ultimately sacked the city. Nearly two centuries later, much of the leadership turns tail.
Congress - SHAME!!
