Apparently Tom Wells was unable to get even his own vote. Must be some kind of record.

I believe this was a Republican (panhandle area) district, from a resigned Rep. Ft. Walton Beach, Pensacola area (but I could be wrong living in Utah after all)

You must know. This was Joe's seat. We have a great man taking his place.

Joe Scarborough's district. This was a special election to fill the vacancy made by his resignation. Protects Republican majority in the House, but no net gain.

This is the Scarborough (sp) seat. It is a GOP bastion. There was some chat that there was an erosion over offshore drilling, but I don't think folks are focusing on that right now.

Cuncur with your post. Was this Joe Scarborough's district? No doubt it was a safe Republican district, but this is a BIG win.

One wonders what shivers must be running up the spines of the DNC as they look at this...

Maybe his vote didn't get counted. Sounds like grounds for a recount...

This just in. Steve Briese is refusing to concede. Something about the ballots. Evidently the voters were confused and thought they were voting for Briese when they were actually punching the ballot for Miller. Also, Pat Buchanan is saying that all his votes actually belong to Briese. And there are a bunch of military absentee ballots that haven't arrived from Afghanistan yet.

Heavily Republican area.
