...Clinton was unproven in a time of war over his watch...

There was a certain presence of war when Clinton was in office; he just chose to ignore it. I think Wayne La Pierre's words, although spoken in a different context, are apt to Clinton in this one: 'President Clinton is comfortable with a certain level of violence in this country.'

The losses of life during Clinton's terms must have been acceptable, otherwise he would have acted meaninfully (assuming, of couse, that he knew how...).

Unfortunately................20%.

I was taken aback by the number of callers to CSPAN open-line segments recently (Seminar Callers?) that are still out there 1) bashing Bush, 2) bitter about the election results and, 3) claiming that Billy-Bob & Hitlery were (and are) the greatest things since sliced bread.

20% most likely represents the "hard cores" of the Democratic party that will NEVER be dissuaded of ANY of their delusions, I'm sorry to say.

I'm waiting for some lame push poll to come out with the following question: "Do you feel you were safer under President Clinton or President Bush?" Maybe it's already been floated. You wait. These liberals will cool their heels a bit longer and then as the 2002 elections gear up, try to make the case that Republicans and Bush are to blame for terrorism and our increased vulnerability.

How ironic. In this extraordinary time of crisis Americans want term limits removed to allow Rudy to remain Mayor, but are glad term limits removed Clinton and gave us GWB. I guess Republicans have what it takes.

@post#3: Hoping that the poll will go against President Bush and for Slick. That is the only reason. Otherwise, why not ask who we preferred, Bush or Algore. Klinton was gone anyway.

The second question is:

Why did Bill Clinton conduct an all out war against a country that never raised a hand or fired a bullet against us and that was only defending it's self against Marxist/drug-dealing/terrorist muslims, while he allowed bin Laden off with some damaged tents?

Well, we'll just have to watch the media, they always quote Zogby. The media have been releasing the 90% polls, with the qualifier, "GHWB had high ratings too and lost to x42".

When things got tough in England and Hitler was preparing to attack the British Isles, people turned to Winston Churchill.

But Churchill was voted out of office just weeks after Germany surrendered. They brought in the Socialist Atlee to give Eastern Europe to Stalin and socialim to England. Churchill saved England and they fired him weeks after he achieved victory.

When we are safe again, the girls will vote for the guy who is a good dancer and the boys will vote for a guy who can party hardy.
