Indeed, these are the two biggest factors which are causing the growth of Islam in the United States. To a much lesser extent conversion is a factor too. Most of the conversions are in the Black community and also women who marry Muslim men. Muslims believe the conversion rate among Americans is very high, but I think it is not as great as they make it out to be.

DW: The kid they're quoting in the article is 8 years old unless I misread it; he believes what he's been told.

Very true, however, when my son was 5 yrs old he held a flag at a parade and it touched the ground which I told him it is not nice or respectful. I taught him to respect our flag and country , and today he is a very community minded patriotic citizen, a policeman in fact.

So some of what we teach our children does sink in believe it or not. Just as this boy of 8 is being "told" he too will follow what he is being "told". Sorry to say.

No nation needs enclaves of hostile or suspcious groups with counter alliances or suspect loyalties to other countries as citizens or residents, especially nations at WAR. I recall during WWII that the Japanese Americans were locked up for just being Japanese, not for speaking out about how they hated America. The Muslims have done far more than the Japanese, and we still let them wander free. Can you say "house arrest"?

The Japanese being put in relocation centers saved many of them and their families from being beaten and lynched in the streets as many desired to do. The transport buses taking them to the relocation centers were even attacked with rocks and bottles. The history of the relocation and isolation of Japanese-Americans in WWII omits this reason why this was done so in addition to the possible threat they posed to national security. Also, completely forgotten is the fact that we also isolated and relocated many German and Italian Americans. Many of them were not just relocated, but permanently deported. In our current situation, which is war, anyone Muslim or not that either sympathizes with or poses a credible security risk should be imprisoned. Anyone foreign national doing so should be immediately deported after a thorough interrogation and investigation. Finally, anyone who gives comfort, shelter, aid, or assistance to the enemies of the United States should be tried for treason and upon a verdict of guilt, be executed. Note that this condition applies to peacetime as well as war, but in recent times the execution of traitors has been abandoned which is a very serious mistake and has come back to haunt us. For the survival and progress of a nation and a free people, traitors among us cannot be allowed to remain.
